1989 Mk1 Supercharger £4000

For sale 1989 Mk1 Supercharger. This car was imported by me 10 years ago. After six years of very little use I decided to take it racing. The car was stripped and rebuilt with the following. ROTA wheels with Avon slicks (spare set of ROTA’s with YokohamaA539 rain tyres) rebuilt callipers with Hel br...

Re: shim bank and valve adjustment tool

Can you let me know if you have any of the following: 2.5, 2.55 or 2.6 as I seem to need these more than anything else.

Re: shim bank and valve adjustment tool

I've got the shim bank at the moment but I'm about to send it off to Limey. Probably best if you send yours onto him.

Re: Any engine experts out there.

I've now dropped the engine so I may as well strip it right down. - just to re-iterate, the numbers are definitely not there. My guess is it's been rebuilt once before and the numbers were removed to avoid confusion in the future. Has anyone got a set of genuine Toyota bearings lying around? If so c...

Any engine experts out there.

The saga of my engine rebuild continues! Upon stripping my engine I am currently stuck on which size bearings to order. The big end bearings are supposed to be marked with a number next to the anti rotation tab, nothing on mine except the same serial no. 9f25a on the other end. Is this a Toyota numb...

Just to give you a heads up, gave Paul a ring at Maccelsfield Toyota and he was very helpful. I will be ordering bits from him.

Re: shim bank and valve adjustment tool

Any chance I can put my name down for the shim bank? Are the shims the same for a supercharger?

Re: Best place for parts

Still having problems with Toyota dealers. The first I tried was Snows Exeter, they said parts were no longer available. The second dealer was Roundswell Barnstaple, so far they've asked for reg, chassis, frame no, engine no, month and year of build, parts description and parts measurements! I'll gi...

Re: Best place for parts

I'll try another dealer, do any of you guys use any other companies that sell parts - Fensport etc. Can't believe I'm only up to 4 posts in 3 years, not to mention the five or six years of lurking before that! As soon as I'm up to 15 I'll post up some pics. I've owned the car 10 years but this year ...

Best place for parts

Guys,

Anybody here would like to recommend a parts supplier for genuine parts? My local dealer won't order saying the car is too old, probably can't be bothered. I have a 1989 supercharged mk1. If I can figure out how I'll post some pics up.

Re: SUSPENSION - Recomendations

Super GT looks like the direction to go in, quite like the idea of really modding the car. It's currently running about 200bhp but we also have a mk3 which we were planning on fitting a supercharger.
Patrick can you give me a price for these coilovers?

SUSPENSION - Recomendations

Does anybody have any recomendations as to the suspension for a supercharged Mk1. The car is only used on the track so comfort isn't important. Koni do a non adjustable kit which I'm inclined to use. I may race the car next year and a lot of regs don't allow adjustable/coilover suspension. Will be u...
