MK2 Black Rev2 Turbo GT-S for sale £1750 O.N.O

Hi all, So it's come to the time where I have to sell my beloved two, I've had her two years and have spent most of it enjoying her and doing her up the way I'd like. Unfortunately, work commitments mean I have to do a lot more miles and it's going to be impractical to run her. She's an unmolested e...

Engine warning light comes on for a second and turns off (no error codes)

So I've started to notice that my engine warning light on my turbo appears to come on at least once after 2/3 mins of starting the engine. It literally comes on for a second and then goes off. Basically the symptom is like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqEOXxi1K5U I've noticed that the light a...

Re: Quiet replacement for blue flame exhaust for my turbo?

Just had a look and the Fujitsubo Legalis-R sounds ideal , but it appears to be quite low slung which isn't ideally as I don't like the can showing at the rear of the car (personal preference)... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3375370/1992-toyota-mr2#33753700005 pic 3 as an example In any case, tried...

Quiet replacement for blue flame exhaust for my turbo?

So the time has come where I'm starting to get fed up with the noise generated from my blueflame double exhaust system as motorway trips generally leave my ears ringing and trips to the super market tends to set off other car alarms. I believe I have a blueflame double exhaust system fitted and I do...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Exhaust blowing(?) and turbo not boosting

Haha, not blaming you Luke. You got her running! Got it into a local garage and up on a ramp, looks like three of the bolts holding the cat to the manifold have sheared and the whole thing was hanging off. Probably the cold weather. Mechanic has offered to helicoil the bolt holes but it looks like i...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Exhaust blowing(?) and turbo not boosting

The plastic elbow which connects the air filter to the turbo was split and Luke's replaced it, can't see any other pipes that are split, will check again...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Exhaust blowing(?) and turbo not boosting

The cat's been hollowed out and it has a mongoose twin pipe on it which is loud enough, now it causes a racket! Still wondering if it's related to lack of power and lack of boost from trubos as there aren't any sensors down the exhaust from the seam where it's apparently blowing... No worries about ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Exhaust blowing(?) and turbo not boosting

Problem is the car's in Norwich at the moment. The exhaust sections have come of due to the recent head gasket change. Just wondering why that would effect the turbo performance, there isn't a sensor further down the exhaust line is there? Been running it with regular unleaded for a year (since I go...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Exhaust blowing(?) and turbo not boosting

Hi there, having only had the car back for a few days since it last broke down I've got yet another problem with it. Luke over at Pacficworks did say that the exhaust was blowing between the cat and the exhaust flange but didn't have a chance to rectify it. It didn't sound too bad when driving it to...

Re: Non-start after DIY headgasket change

Although I haven't got the car back just yet, just wanna say a massive thanks to luke for finding the issue and fixing it so quickly. Also a big thanks for the support from the members here who posted advice at a time I was considering chucking it all in. lol.

My two lives to drive another day!

Yup, same here, looking for front and rear sets (as long as they work well and cheaper than the Canadian on ebay)

Re: Non-start after DIY headgasket change

Thanks for that RyanRs. I would have hoped that the garage knew how to do this as they've charged me to retime the engine. I am not going to be impressed if they've done it incorrectly! Would check this out myself but problem is that I'm 150 miles from the car at the moment. Will see what I can do.....

Re: Non-start after DIY headgasket change

Hi guys, The head was skimmed as per original post, so it's been done properly before it went back in. Have paid up garage for retiming and getting the car ready to be moved to someone who knows the car better. Trying to get the car to Luke at Pacificworks but arranging transport is proving difficul...

Re: Non-start after DIY headgasket change

Thanks for the support guys. I'm struggling to arrange for the car to be towed back home, to another garage as I've lost faith that the current garage know what they're doing... If you have any recommendations for garages in the South London area (where car is atm), I'd appreciate a recommendation. ...

Non-start after DIY headgasket change

Hi there, So I'm in a desperate state at the moment, having spent most of the christmas holidays in the freezing cold under my car with a friend changing the head gasket on my rev2, we found that the engine wouldn't fire up. Details of the work we did: Took head off and took all valves out for head ...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Bonnet and engine bay hydraulic struts
