Front suspension ball joint replacement
Hi, was thinking about changing the ball joint that are attached in the suspension knuckle. I'm being told by Toyota that they do not sell them on their own and they come are part of the knuckle £240+. Does anyone if I can remove the exisiting ball joint from the knuckle and more importantly what ca...

Re: steering wheel wobble
It's a 2002 model and yes it does have different wheels with spacers. 4 Wheel geo alignment carried out by a motor sport company. I've checked the tyre pressure and it's a little high, so will alter this. I'll be changing n/s front wheel hub as the bearings seem a little dry. I'll be changing front ...

Re: steering wheel wobble
who did th egeo set up? sounds like you need 4 wheel alignment, not just your crappy 2 wheel alignment most places do. ilogik, thanks for the reply. it was the 4 wheel alignment i had done. The wheel bearings seem okay, no play, and I will now change the disks and pads ( both of which look okay, ve...

steering wheel wobble
Hi, when driving between 44-52 MPH, my sterering wheel rocks/wobbles from side to side. Slight pull to the left but not under breaking. Below and above these speeds no problem. I've had an all 4 wheel geometry check and each wheel balanced, but still have the problem. Any idea what else it could be ...

Re: Coilovers
If you're after bracing go to MR2ROC and search for a chap called aaronjb, really good friend of mine who is splitting his incredibly well-sorted Roadster now. He's got the full set of Web 3.0 Racing bracing still up for grabs I think. Piece of cake to fit, all just bolt on. I've heard of the Meist...

Re: Coilovers
Assuming you can get them for £600, then I'd got for either the Tein SuperStreets or the BC Racing ones. That said, I'd only go down this route if you've already fully braced the car (front FSB and TTET cross brace as a bare minimum) and put a set of thicker ARBS on there too, as they'll make more ...

Coilovers
Hi,
I'm thinking of upgrading my suspension to adjustable coilovers. Can anyone recommend a good product please. I don't use the car for track days/racing and have a budget of around £600.

Re: Advice please - rear wheel hub
CTP (Cheap Toyota Parts) or a Toyota Dealership. And consider replacing all 4, unless that one only sheared because of a force put upon it which you are certain has only ever been put on that stud. Wheels have been known to come off at speed due to sheared studs, so better safe than sorry frogger, ...

How to advice - changing gator on drive shaft
Hi, while changing my disc/pads noticed that one of the gators on the driveshaft is split and needs replacing. There are two gators on there, it's not the one nearest the wheel, it's the other one nearer the middle of the car. Excuse the incorrect tech terms  Is there a step by step guide anyw...

How to advice - change front & rear brake pads
Hi,
I want to change the front and rear brake pads myself. Does anyone know if there is an idiots guide to show how best this should be done.
I'll be using MR2 stock pads but if anyone can suggest any suitable alternative I'm all ears.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
