Looks like a good show. I'm annoyed I had to miss it. :(

What's "The Hampshire Show"? Is that the Hampshire Pageant?

Re: Scenes Of Skye 2008 ** Now With Pictures **

I've just been on a 2 week holiday touring around the west coast of Scotland. First time I've been there and the scenery is amazing. 8) It's hard to grasp the scale of everything until you are standing there looking at it. :thumleft: We drove round Skye and did the Applecross pass too (WOW!). Re: Supplier for Nardi / Personal?

Dont know the answer to your question, but was always under the impression Nardi was "budget" in terms of sports steering wheels etc..... like the Japanese version of Ripspeed? Not at all [-X They're actually top quality wheels easily up there with the best from the likes of Momo et...

Just posted a similar spot but different day. The A1 must be the place to go with a mk1!

Two mk1s heading North on the A1 on Saturday 12th about 6:15pm

Spent two weeks in Scotland on holiday without seeing a single mk1 (quite disappointed as most of the roads up there are excellent driving roads and I know there are quite a few owners from Scotland on the forums). Saw two mk1s within about 5 mins while travelling back down the A1 though, both going...

Sorry folks but I'm not going to be able to make it along to the show after all. :( I've stupidly double-booked myself and have a christening to go to instead. #-o Hopefully I'll make it along to another show this summer but was really looking forward to this one as it looked to have a nice selectio...

Re: Replacing the Drop Links

Good info! One pair were easily modified to suit the front by heating the rod and twisting one end round until both joints were facing the same way Does this affect the strength of the drop link in any way or does it not matter? What do you use to heat them - a blowtorch? Can you use something like ...

[All] [Generic] What's most important: Asymmetric tyres, Directional tyres, or b

Ok, so I found the description below on the web and was wondering (mostly for a mk1 but I suspect it applies just as well to a mk2) what order of importance you'd apply to these tyre types. i.e. if you're buying tyre which is the most important consideration? Asymmetric only Directional only Both as...

Re: Dark blue t-bar with black interior?

My first mk1 was a G-reg dark mica blue T-bar with a black leather interior. I saw another one with the leather interior (F-reg I think) when I was looking around for one too. I think if you can find a very late mk1 (i.e. 1990 registered G plate) then all T-bars came with leather as standard (or may...

First one is: It won't let me add a dyno run. it says a field marked as required is not filled in - after I filled them all in. Second one is: it won't let me add a new vehicle. "Number of vehicles exceeded - delete one". So I deleted one, and I still get the message. Help? I wanted to ad...

Re: New auto choke installed - alternative to waxstat...

I've really been out of the loop with regards to this manual choke thing, is this only for NA cars or is there some benifit to SC engines also? Never had a problem with my sc idling/revs that i've noticed :?: I assume the SC uses the same waxstat as the NA, what the manual choke does is adjust the ...

Removing a tyre from a wheel

I've got a spare teardrop alloy kicking around and thought it might be useful to have a pop at refurbishing it. I'll probably just use it to get a bit of practise in (sanding down and painting) before trying anything on the wheels on my car (which are in better condition anyway so won't require as m...

Re: Elvetham Heath Car Show, E. Hampshire (MK1Club)

So... assuming no-one buys my SC in the meantime (which is a possibility, given that I'm going to be on holiday for two weeks between now and the show), I have the decision of which car to bring along with me... :-k

Any opinions?
