Re: knock on a power fc

the powerfc does add timing for cold running up to 60degrees..

the powerfc warmup values could be incorrect for the high load settings.

the easiest way is to adjust your driving..

if your mapper is close just pop in and get them to check it over

Re: Rev 2 Turbo 440cc Injector Latency

set them via the discharge method.. if you alter the normal running dead time it'll now ruin your tune.. so remove alternator cable and run the battery down whilst idling.. set the dead time to keep stable AFR. then extrapolate from that curve the voltage above normal running.. should take you an ho...

Re: Running lean top end after retarding the timing

at 10degrees the ecu may drop into knock fuelling. at 8 it may not.

youd have to scope inj PW to find out.

but from a 10 to a mid 12. is a lot of difference in fuel duty..
but as you say could be pump related.

Re: Wrapping up for winter

if your serious about laying it up properly a proper lay up engine oil wants to be put in it.. 100% dont leave old oil in it. no matter how fresh you think it is.. old oil ( even oil that is expensive and not done many miles) will get contaminated with fuel etc. this contamination causes the bearing...

the Profec just needs the solenoid piping up differently..

Ryan.g wrote:Accel is done through tps but if the map sensor is slow to react on the fuel table then it causes havoc with accel.

Problem found BTW it was a brass restrictor in the T piece feeding the map sensor.

LOL... well at least its fixed now..

Re: Ok, Dyno day result = Problems! Myseld and Ryan.g scratching heads @ this one!

Yeah i know what your saying about the tuning house boost controllers. Although profec avcr etc with that solenoid type can be plumbed for add to increase rather than bleed to increase. Tune the accel with TPS. Not map. Only time you use map is in a group fire arrangement since the ecu can't determi...

The more I think about it the more confused I'm getting  he could not fit the hose to my engine ?, the pipe up the exhaust only went up 6" on one of 4 outlets, how could he know I was running too lean  He basically only had the rollers to go by, how so how could he know  ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] some progress pics, GT3071R MR2

So why is this possible? is it det that kills mr2 engines? your doing an awsome job man :thumleft: careful and rigorous mapping! and allowing the mapping to best harmonise the parts to make the power rather than trying to achieve numbers on a dyno.. for me a dyno is for cars that cannot be safely l...

Re: Ok, Dyno day result = Problems! Myseld and Ryan.g scratching heads @ this one!

hello!

most obviously

from how you describe the wastegate is incorrectly plumbed.

in regards to your ~TPS enrich problem..

you either still have you motor out of phase. or its incorrectly tuned.
