Re: LED converted heater controls
The drivers window control sections (for both windows and the window lock)- is this one single led or several?? Early revisions (revs 1 & 2 IIRC) had 3 LEDs. Later revisions (rev3+ IIRC) had only 1 LED for the 'auto' switch. whats your thoughts on this then... http://i1087.photobucket.com/album...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] clifford remotes
So if i was to buy the cable off ebay and find somewhere to get the software from you think it would be worth a shot? Cable off eBay, and software u can download from the Clifford website, the version u get from there is the public version, and is pretty safe to use, the installer version has a few...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] clifford remotes
I have a G5 in my 2 as well but with only one fob which worries me! The problem is though i don't know the valet code for the alarm guessing you couldn't program a new fob without it? all depends on how the alarm brain has been setup,, I can get around the code sometimes if the brain hasn't been lo...

Re: Sandwich plates & oil questions
if you decide to fit a sandwich plate, its not really that hard, you only lose what oil is in the filter plus maybe a little bit more. and you can top up afterwards, either that or wait till next oil change.. if u choose not to use sandwich plate, then oil pressure can be taken of the head where the...

Re: Neighbours and loud exhausts!!!
I had the exact same exhaust on my v6, and boy does it make a racket.. as much as loved the sound it made, it gave me a headache on a long journey and was getting some irritated looks from neighbors. took it off after 3 weeks of it being on the car, and replaced the stock backbox in its place.. much...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Speedo wiring troubles! (NA car, turbo engine/wiring)
Hi guys, could anybody post some idiot proof wiring explanations of how to get the speedo wire from the gearbox (purple, no idea where to find it as I can't see it on the main loom...) to the actual dashboard etc (purple wires with silver stripe?) Whilst sitting behind the passenger seat, I can see...

Re: Refurbishing a set of Rays TE37's - Which colour to go with?
what ever you decide, get the wheels painted.. DO NOT powder coat..
sorry for the shout there but , powder coating these forged magnesium wheels makes the metal brittel and they will crack or eveb worse shatter.. Ive seen few pics online of wheels that ended up breaking after powder coat

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Gasket costs
you might have air in the coolant, and the system needs bleeding and topping up.. if it is the headgasket then depends on the car, if its Na or turbo, and how much work is involved to replace it..
I would imagine on a Na it should be less than 300 quid including parts..

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Slow windscreen wipers - FIXED, SEE UPDATE
Got it, thanks for your reply psycho. As much as I appreciate your efforts, I have doubts that: Replacing motor is not that difficult, just quite awkward.. Motor is on the passenger side in the engine bay. Peter well i got mine done in about 40 minutes. admitedly did scrape teh skin of my han...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Different Wheels
as above, either the fronts prings have been lowered or the front shocks are gone and car is sitting lower at the from.
take a front wheel of, and measure the shock from top to bottom,
then measure a rear shock and see if there is any difference
