Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] New bushings for my suspension.
My car was running some aftermarket springs with öhlin dampers. It had poly bushes all around, and some solid swaybar end links.. I'm currently overhaling the entire car. I'll be running Eibach sportline springs with the öhlin dampers (will be rebuilt and dyno'ed). Stock swaybar end links. And then ...

[Mk2] [Turbo] New bushings for my suspension.
So when I bought my car, it had poly bushes installed. The ride was way too harsh, so I'm changing the springs and getting original Toyota bushings.. or so I thought. Turns out that some of the bushes in the suspension only comes installed in the part that they go into. Like the lower control arms. ...

Re: Cheapest place to buy spare parts.
Can anyone comment on MR2-ben.co.uk? Overpriced or overall good shop? When comparing it to TCB with regards to wheel bearings, TCB offer "Solid Auto" bearings which, as far as I can see, is a Chinese company While MR2-Ben.co.uk offer FAG bearings which I know is a well renowned Indian comp...

Cheapest place to buy spare parts.
I'm currently completely overhauling my MR2 Turbo. The easiest way to go abut this, would be to source the parts in Denmark (I'm from Denmark) But as the prices are very high in Denmark, I figure the next best thing is to buy from the UK. So I'm currently looking for a good shop to place my order at...

Cluster swap - Burned out wiring?
Soon I will be doing a mechanical to electronic speedo swap. But before I attempt this, I just wanted to ask you guys about the compatibility of clusters. A guy in UK told me that I need a cluster that has a barcode number matching my original cluster, because if I get the wrong one, it might burn o...

so in fact, you can use the Quaife with a Rev.3 transmission, you just have to use the mechanical speedo drive/sensor and non LSD drive shafts.

Re: E153 Transmission - How to identify
thanks.
.
Regarding the stock lsd.
I'm going to be using a quaife differential.
I seem to recall there being something about one being better to adopt an aftermarket lsd.
.
Can't recall if it was the one with or without stock lsd that was better suited for aftermarket lsd.
Any know anything about that?

Is there any way you could confirm this with a picture
(the square hole).
I have no idea what excatly to look for as I havent got pictures of the earlier compared to the newer revision transmission.

E153 Transmission - How to identify
I'm in the market for a Rev.3 Transmission. Not far from where I live, theres a 1995 transmission for sale.. or so it says in the advert. I'm wondering if there is any way to actually tell which revision the transmission is, just by looking at it. Any difference in the casing? Any numbers stamped on...

Re: JHclassics dino conversion
thats your opinion. I'll challenge it a bit. You could argue that the coversion kit is a bodykit just like any other.. in that case, I think it gives the car a more beautiful look than any other bodykit available.. and I dare to say, I've looked through all of them.. Before I decided on this convers...

the laws in Denmark prevent me from buying a Deon or other types of kit cars.. the only way you can get away with a replica in Denmark is getting it done as a conversion on an already registered car. It has to be done on my own car as the import tax in Denmark is ridiculously high. Regarding trying ...

JHclassics dino conversion
I'm considering having JHclassics do a dino conversion on my MR2. Has anyone from this board heard anything about the company? It's a fairly costly affair and my car has to be transported to Uk from Denmark (where I'm from) and so I would like to know a little about the company before committing to ...

Re: E153 Transmission Rev1 vs Rev2 vs Rev3
Toyota supply all the parts you need for any of the 3 gearboxs, Rev 1, 2 or 3 Rev 3 would be best but it all depends on how worn the box is. Quaife only make a diff for a Rev1 but will fit in a Rev2,3 but will need the Rev1 speedo gear. Rev 1 drive shafts may also be needed, non LSD Why would a rev...

E153 Transmission Rev1 vs Rev2 vs Rev3
Currently I've got a Rev1 E153 in my car, but as I'm in the process of rebuilding the entire car I've been searching the web for info on the different revisions of these transmissions as I want to pick the best one for my build (will buy a used transmission and rebuild it). Not sure where the revisi...

Is there any way that one could install the carbon fibre doors without having to install a cage for safety? I mean.. the problem is that the reinforcement bar in the door is missing in these. Could one be built in, in some way. Any ideas? as the thought of CF doors sounds very interesting to me. :) ...
