Re: help! me again lol
Popular options are: Irwin bolt grips Dremel cutting off, and replacing studs if required Chiseling off at correct angle All of the above is aided by a good soak in penetrating oil / plug gas in the days leading up to attempted removal! Oil leak is more often from the cam chain tensioner, which is o...

Re: How to change the engine
Completely possible with just jacks and axle stands. Swapped 2 this way in recent months with no issues. You just have to take the whole car lower to get the engine sitting on the floor (or pallet) then unbolt the engine and jack the car up higher, raising it off the engine until you have enough cle...

Re: Cooling system cleaner..?
Cheap and effective way is pressure washer in one end, open end at 'tother - and just flow a shed load of water through the system and out. Don't start adding non-compatible rust inhibitors to your coolent system :) P.S. the above is largely pointless if you have a cheap/corroded radiator sitting th...

I have an image in my head now of a speedo with 10 20 30 scrawled in sharpy pen round the face
Thinking about it - thats probably what I'd get if I asked my Mr T main dealer to convert the speedo!

Aye, fair enough if you're turbo'd. Powerflow gets my vote.

Re: decat downipe
Do you actually mean the downpipe, and remove the main cat? If so - then yeah, a good exhaust centre is the place to go. H&S have a VERY good rep, but can be expensive. Personally I have had very good experiences with Powerflow centres, but the quality could vary from one centre to another. Of c...

Re: Advice please - rear wheel hub
CTP (Cheap Toyota Parts) or a Toyota Dealership.
And consider replacing all 4, unless that one only sheared because of a force put upon it which you are certain has only ever been put on that stud.
Wheels have been known to come off at speed due to sheared studs, so better safe than sorry

Re: Question about semi auto gearbox
Before you 'forget about fixing it', there are some common faults and fixes yes. The most common is covered in the relearn procedure, don't know if it's documented on here but it certainly is over on spyderchat (where there is a vast amount of SMT knowledge) and the info has also been pasted across ...

Re: Toy Car
As far as pedal cars go I think you would have to go with a Enzo or Lambo pedal car and 'restyle'/mod it into a MR2 - would be good to see the conversion run the other way for once :) lol Alternatively, the far east ebay has a larger range of MR2 toys... http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&am...

Re: few questions
Air con was an option in the UK, not standard. It is however standard on all Jap Imports. Most reliable way is increasingly looking like checking the engine number. http://www.mr2roc.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=33717 After all, a pre-2003 may have a later model engine swapped in - all good. ...

I'd be interested in C one side vents. Very interested.
And I think many others would too if offered at a reasonable price.

I'll put money on that it's not the cables. :-s £5 on it? lol Not that I want you to loose even more money after shelling out for potentially unneccesary cables mind you! The calipers are in need of attention. Either the sliders or the pistons will be seized, or will have been seized, and regreasing...

Re: key programming
Thanks for your reply. Is ebay the baest place then? I didnt think that a key could be re-programmed after it had been done to another car? Yeap, ebay is the way forward. The internals from a second hand key can be reprogrammed via the slightly long winded, but simple enough, relearn procedure. Bee...

Re: key programming
Question is UK model or Import? UK Model Immobiliser in the key runs the show. Suggest getting a key blank, second hand key, and reprogramming electronics as per spyderchat. Total cost = £4 key blank + cutting + cost of 2nd hand key. Import There's no immobiliser in the key. Aftermarket alarm fob ru...

Re: Good suspension specialist in Birmingham?
If you want pro alignment there's only a couple of places in the country with scissor lifts (not std car lifts which lift unevenly) and proper pro alignment kit (i.e. not the laser/hunter/etc stuff that 99.9% of garages have). One of the places happends to be about 30~45 minutes from you down the M5...

Is this the issue with regards to the pre-cats etc. Had mine done from the get go. nah, not even going to consider an engine-out solution as it can open up far too many complications.
