Re: Jacking locations other than the sills
For the front you can use the bracket for the Sway bar bush either left or right , depending , which side you want raised. Its a very good spot, because it goes in the center of the jack and the car won't slide from the jack. For the rear you just use the middle of the subframe

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rear right clipped the kerb
It could be the knuckle although its unlikely to have such a visible difference. I had similar problem on my 200sx. Although for me it wouldn't get into spec , when under alignment. I got a new knuckle and , when i compared them one to another they looked the same, there was no visual difference at ...

Re: Strange 4th gear issue after polybushing front engine mount
All of those have been verified. I use spherical bearings instead of brass bushes, and the slave and main are quite new. Also i didn't touch anything , except the bush. I suspect that the problem may have been introduced by the mistake i did to only polybush the front one. The engine seems to jump q...

Re: all the people with a crunchy gearbox
I had mine rebuilt earlier this year having lost fourth gear on a 'spirited' drive. No warnings, just stopped going into gear :eye: Also paid a similar amount - but it's worth it to know that it's been done and you needn't worry about it again! Mine was rebuilt by a local gearbox specialist with To...

Strange 4th gear issue after polybushing front engine mount
Hello, my car developed strange problem after i replaced the front engine mount with a polyurethane one. The car is with 3SGTE engine conversion, but i am still using the N/A gearbox. The problem was that the torque generated from the turbo engine destroyed the N/A bush, which is quite different tha...

Re: Power steering fluid alternative from halfords
I am using the below product successfully. For over 5 years. Changed twice already. No problems with the pump motor, also i think it has something inside that can reduce the leak of your rack for a while....not that its too hard to remove the rack from this car for refresh tho..... http://www.commao...

He will be back and you will see the result. They do hit valves believe me, no matter that its written as non interference.

Re: Cam belt failure engine damage?
Valves are hit and they don't seal properly. The engine will hit them if belt is snapped unless maybe ,if it snaps during cranking. Have seen 3 engines with snapped belts, all had the same problem. You need new valves. I think the bearings should be fine, but you can replace them just in case.

Re: Turbo - Lack of boost after changing gear.
Check your boost solenoid. Basically, you probably have a very weak spring on the gate. Due to this the solenoid needs to bleed all the pressure to the air in order for the spring to actually hold boost. If the solenoid stuck sometimes, it won't bleed the air and the gate will receive the help of th...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Issue Gen 2 3sgte medium boost destroying turbos
Build parts, i have no idea, but i will take a look , when its apart. Verified the oil feed, it seems more than enough oil is reaching the turbo. The turbo is now off the car and look serviceable, so i will probably try once more with another rebuild.

[Mk2] [Turbo] Issue Gen 2 3sgte medium boost destroying turbos
Hello all, im having trouble with recently increased boost on my car. Was using a Ct26 in perfect condition for around 2 years, boost was regulated by wastegate, so it was going around 0.8bar. After a while due to maf issues , when cold(leaning out in low rpm even after adjusting the idle screw) i d...

Re: Fell off the road *now with video*
Well actually my other car is a 200sx, so i have some knowledge with tyres and LSD and sliding :) Having a turbo and LSD has nothing to do with the traction of a certain tyre. My idea is that ,when you have cheaper tyres they lose grip earlier than good quality tires, so you are not going fast enoug...

Re: Fell off the road *now with video*
Try to buy tires that loose grip easily on the wet, but keep traction after that. Most high quality tires are not like that. Been driving with good tires on the back for a few years , and recently got a Kingstar K106, or something. Very happy with these, when i press the pedal on the wet the rear sta...
