Re: Recommended extended wheel studs

Thanks for the details. Did you get them for the front or rear out of curiosity?

Re: Recommended extended wheel studs

I've read on here that the fensport ones are just generic ones which are the same as ones off eBay only at a higher price. Hence I'm reluctant to get those. I did find some on eBay that were 51mm which would be fine. Just dubious about quality.

Adrian Flux don't have a clue!

I am currently in discussions with Adrian Flux with regards an agreed valuation on my MR2. I was under the impression that they kept up to date with car values and tailored insurance. To be quite honest it's been nothing but grief and hassle. I have had to email them numerous times just to get my do...

Recommended extended wheel studs

Can anyone recommend some extended wheel studs? I'm after ones which will be around the 52mm not 63mm length. After lots of Google searches it seems lots need the splines grinding back. So experience of a decent fit would be appreciated.

Extended wheel studs required?

So I'm learning more about my recently acquired MR2.  It's got wheel spacers on the front which I now know are required or the wheels catch the coilovers. The spacers are only 6mm. When it was at the garage the other day they said I should look at either removing them or extending the wheel studs a...

Re: Insurance recommendations

Thanks for the response. Best I give Flux a call. How do you come to an agreement on the value of the car?

Insurance recommendations

Good afternoon,

So looks like I've bagged myself a V6 Mr2.
Can anyone give recommendations on who to use for insurance and rough idea of what it's costing. A quick check on compare the market and it's coming up around £400.
I've yet to try Adrian Flux which would be my next go to.

Re: 1998 na moonroof model 57k on clock worth saving

Yes this is all true. It was off road due to needing a new radiator. Which I got a couple of years ago but never got around to fitting. I've an older one too, Rev 2. This one started after charge with no issues and drive again without issue. I appreciate it will still need all the same bits doing to...

1998 na moonroof model 57k on clock worth saving

Ok so I know I've made a major error by neglecting my car. It's been off the road for four years. I need to move it to get access to the driveway. The brakes are seized. Taking off the rear wheel and I can see it's rusty underneath. As in arms etc. There is some surface rust showing on sills so prob...

Re: Seized brakes

So just disconnect them from the rear brake callers? It did feel when I applied the handbrake that there was no tension. I kind of assumed the cables had maybe snapped so would then disengage the handbrake as such.

Re: Seized brakes

Don't want to go stupid with the revs and burn out the clutch.
I only need to move it to clear the driveway.

Seized brakes

So my cars been sat for around four years. I now need to move it. It starts ok but the brakes are solid so it won't move. Was hoping the engine power would crack them. But no movement at all.

Can anyone give ideas of best way of moving the car?

Re: Suspension upgrade.

It will be used for fast road driving, no intention for track use. One of my aims is for comfort but I'd also like a bit of a drop which I know doesn't really go hand in hand. I was hoping to keep it under £800.

Super advan sa3r nuts

So I've managed to get some centre plates for my Sa3r's.
The next issue I'm having is where to get shorter wheel nuts so the plates fit on.
The ones I've managed to find have been nearly £50 for 4 nuts!
Anyone provide me details of where I might get them at a reasonable price. :thumleft:
