Here's a couple of pics of the coilovers and drop links - as you can see these are a smart bit of kit. You can also see the braided brake lines, the arb's etc http://i911.photobucket.com/albums/ac318/rfallows/Aug2011-3rdlot001.jpg http://i911.photobucket.com/albums/ac318/rfallows/Aug2011-3rdlot002.j...

MR2 Turbo, Rev 2 - Black

For sale is my black Rev 2 turbo. Selling as I am moving abroad to work and sadly cannot take the car with me :( . I bought the car approx 2 years ago as a second car and it has been kept in the garage all the time, I have done about 2000 miles in it and it has done around 85,000 miles. It was impor...

Another question

Anybody else on here got speedhut gauges - I need to buy the sender units for boost and oil pressure and do not know where to get them from?

Cool

I see you've got a boost controller fitted and upgraded headgasket etc. I am just buying bits to do similar on mine so it would be good to have a chat.

upgrade

Cheers for the answers. I've already done KW varient 3 coilovers, whiteline arbs, tein front top mounts, toms rear top mounts, mongoose exh, blitz induction kit, grooved discs and yellow stuff pads (well I think they are as the last owner did it). Already got a blitz boost control, just need to buy ...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Rev 2 power upgrade

Quick question I'm about to set off on and up the power of my rev 2 turbo by the easy route i.e. metal head gasket, bigger intercooler, boost controller and adjustable fuel cut defender. To make sure I am monitoring boost and oil temp, I've also bought a pair of speedhut gauges to do this and was wo...

reg plate

I agree with the comments above. I have a rev 2 which is on an M plate which is fine but should actually be an L plate - it was a mistake when imported but not an issue.

Insurance

I use heritage and pay around £350 quid for a rev 2 turbo, lowered suspension, modified exhaust etc. It includes guaranteed value, I have not used any no claims but its restricted to 3000 miles per year as it is a second car and I have my no claims on my main car. It does include european cover also.

Brake lines

Not wanting to put you off here but be wary. I changed to braided lines twice and each time, the front right connection from flexi hose to solid pipe has been seized solid so I've ended up having to change the pipe also. Also be careful which braided hose set you buy - not all of the rears come with...

[Mk2] [Generic] Control arm (tension rod?) bushes

Bit of advice needed please.

Does anyone know where I can get uprated bushes for where the front control arms (sometimes called tension rods maybe?) mount to the bracket that holds them to the body for a Mk2 Rev 1. These are the ones with the nut on the end so the castor can be adjusted.

Cheers

Re: Hel braided brake lines

One thing to check is wether the rears come with the bracket that bolts to the chassis as part of the hose. If not, you may need to make your own bracked. I just fitted a set of braided hoses I bought from Rogue which did come with the bracket.
