Sold. Enkei RP01 16" Wheels & Tyres £475

Sold Definitely selling so priced at a more realistic £475 ono. 16X7j ET35 16x8j ET38 5x114.3 Take into account tyres are very recent and the wheels don't need refurbishing. All ready to bolt straight into your car. I've seen these wheels go for around £300 without tyres and needing to be refurbish...

Re: Project REV5 Turbo ............ Lots of big changes

Great work Alan. Just a quick point. I have the same Hks Ssqv. It came with the car and had the same bracket as your picture. No idea how but the bracket snapped in two during a run! Looks like a weak design. If there is a way to reinforce the sides of the bracket to prevent flex it's worth doing it...

I have a very good used standard one. Never had any issues passing Mot's. Only removed a few months ago. You'd need to arrange your own courier though.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Car running very low temperature.

I think on a Rev1/2 it's the single spade connector one on the coolant tree. Rev3 plus are different I believe. Take the wire off the sensor and earth to the engine, if the gauge goes to full then the sensor is at fault, if it doesn't move its either a wiring fault or gauge fault. (info borrowed fro...

Re: Lowering springs on old dampers question

Best way to undo the large nut is put it in a bench vice upside down so that the nut is held by the vice. Then put a large screwdriver/bar/similar through two of the strut bolt holes and apply turning force. Very easy this way.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Car running very low temperature.

I had a similar issue with my current car. Took a long time for the needle to rise and rarely went higher than your picture. It turned out to be the temperature gauge sender. Easy cheap fix and now the needle gets up to just under half way within about 5 minutes of driving and stays rock solid. If t...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] handbrake issue

Weak areas are cables or seized actuator arms on the caliper.

Found this the other day which gives a great explanation of how the mechanism works: http://www.testroete.com/car/Toyota/mr2 ... ems/12.pdf

Essex Meet Thursday 3rd September 2015

Great meet tonight. Good to see so many new faces too. Shame about the weather.

Next month's meet will be the first Thursday of the month to avoid clashing with JAE.

I make that the 3rd September.

Hi Dom, Yeah could do with lowering a bit and maybe some spacers on the back. Your photo skills are impressive. Wheel sizes from my notes are I believe 16x7 ET38 and 17x7.5 ET42. Have a play with a wheel calculator such as: http://mr2.gordaen.com/wt_calc.php Mine is in a few bits at the moment until...
