Why not find out which part is blowing first.
It could be just the flexi which can be replaced....look on ebay for back boxes or full systems, your'll need rev3+ ones tho or look on the breakers section on here.
The standard fix is to chop the rotten section of pipe out and replace with a rubber section. You dont need the bracket bit...you could tie it if you want.
My pipes where completly removed for rubber ones.
Due to buying our first house that needs a fair bit of internal work, I have no time to properly finish my mk3 project, so passing it on to someone else. W reg mk3 with 109k miles - 5 speed manual - engine/box/shafts have been removed already but are included in the sale. No history. Think it might ...
Since dropping the old engine and delivery of the replacement, nothing has been or will likely to be done for a long time due to buying my first house with the GF and all my spare time will be taken up with house stuff. So rather than let it sit in my garage, will pass this on to someone else who ca...
Will be sorning this at the end of the month due to new stoopid insurance laws.

Perhaps if you were getting lots of unburnt fuel in the downpipe/cat and it were to sudderly ignite or make it have serious detonation you would get a pop and bang....then you can rebuild your engine afterwards!
Its the 5/6 letters they normally require to get the right part, thats on the vin plate in the frunk....and yes I agree, most part bods are morons !! LOL
Its about the right price chap.....just have to wait for the right punter in the right area.
Had very little interest with mine, theres also another rev2 v6 on TB for sale as well.
Yeah, everything APART from the acutal place your buying !!!
Well, getting the rocker cover gasket sorted as its leaking a fair bit now, also planning on re-doing the down pipes for a better flow as one of the flexi pipes is now blowing.
More jobs to do!
If you do some research then you should find out that pre'03 cars have the rubbish piston design which leads to the oval bores. Get one with full history and check it through. Ask the right questions about how much oil it uses, Mr T says that these engines can use up to 1 ltr every 1000 miles. Any p...
