Re: Slow mk1b??? Need help!
Ok been a while but got someone who owns several and he says it is underpowered. I also noticed mild surging or maybe misfire when holding between 1000 and 3000 rpm? The main problem is pulling from a stand still. It's got no torque at all, a KA will beat me of a set of lights!! My thoughts might be...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Mr2 block mixed with celica st185 head
Don't really want to drill it just incase anything happens plus the tensioner bolts are in a lug on the left of the head. There is no lug like this on mine.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Mr2 block mixed with celica st185 head
Cheers for the offer but the reason I got this head is because it's been heavily pitted and polished, multi angle valves and has high lift cams and HKS pulleys on it already. I exchanged my original rev2 head believing this head was the same as mine but with all the work done on it already.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Mr2 block mixed with celica st185 head
Also just to add, head has 6 stud exhaust manifold pattern not 7 or 9. Does this help identify which head it is???

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Mr2 block mixed with celica st185 head
Right defo no holes for hydraulic tensioner or normal tensioner pulley. But there is a peg which looks like it is for a spring! And a hole underneath were the normal one is! This is progress but can't seem to find this tensioner??? All seem to have this hydraulic tensioner and pulley.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Mr2 block mixed with celica st185 head
If the head is wrong then my rev2 manifolds wouldn't fit? I have a Rmr inlet and it bolts up fine so does the exhaust manifold.
If all the celica heads have this hole for the tensioner then what other head might I have? Are there any other type of tensioners maybe???

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Mr2 block mixed with celica st185 head
Lol yeah the rocker cover is my original one from my rev 2.
As for the hole. The hole is there in the cam back plate but there's no hole in the head. It's just solid head? How do you upload photos from iPhone?
