Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Fluid Temperatures
I wouldn't worry too much, water or fluids in a pressurised system have raised boiling temperatures.
Out of curiosity, where do you get your figures from? I only have a C and a H on my temp gauge, it just sits in the middle

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Failed MOT - help with understanding sheet VT30
Handbrake - Is there any "slack" on the actual handbrake lever? Like for example, you can easily lift the handbrake 5-10mm before anything happens? If so, its probably one of the cables underneath. I had to do one of mine for my mot. And there is the adjustment - http://mr2oc.co.uk/forums/...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Decat exhaust studs
Hi all. I had an mot a month ago and it failed emissions with my decat on. Rev 3 mk2 turbo. So I put the standard cat back on (great job) and I need some new studs. The ones that came out are m10 x 1.25 x 45mm length. The blank part of the stud is about 10mm. I cannot find studs like this anywhere! ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Profec B Spec 2 problems?
Sorry to wake a thread from the dead. The old control box was dead. I tested both solenoids and they only clicked once.
My new box turned up today and when I tested the solenoids they clicked lots of times. So I now have 3 profec solenoids. Now for the setting up of the thing

Re: [Mk2] [NA] cold air feed
Hi mate I have done something similar. When I got the car it just had the airbox on, no pipes or anything so I bought some ducting from ebay and cable tied it onto the airbox and sort of wedged it facing the side vent. Mines turbo'd so I don't know if the layout is different but I imagine its the sa...

Re: ZS180 pretty quick motors
I would, if they werent so expensive to run and if they were cheaper also. You can pick up a MK1 180 with belts done for £2K with relatively low mileage. The tax is only slightly more expensive than the turbo! This is true, when I was looking (2 years ago+) they were going to be put in the £400 or ...

I'm torn at the moment between a greddy profec b spec 2 and the gizzmo. I have a spec 2 in my car at the moment but it broke and i've heard quite a lot of stories about them breaking now.
Is it time to try something new perhaps?
Argh decisions!
