My clutch has recently started to smell during trips around town involving lots of gear changes etc. plus I now have 76k on the clock so I assume its time for a replacement.
A friend of mine is under the impression that a clutch-out job on the Mk2 is a big one. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Cars been scratched
Thanks for the responses, that dashboard CCTV sounds handy, I'll do a search. We think we know who did it, just got to make sure we know for sure that it was them before we show them the error of their ways.

[Mk2] [Generic] Cars been scratched
Some scumbag has scratched my brothers G-Limited twice! The first scratch appeared a couple of days ago running halfway along the door and down the front wing. Then this morning he found another scratch running from the rear wing and joining the original scratch on the door. The scratches are ...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Why do you own a Mr2 ?
Its simple, every journey is an event. It turns heads like nothing else short of a Ferrari or a Lambo can. Tubbies are rare enough that most people dont know they exist so they shock the owners of far more expensive vehicles with their pace. I'll give you a couple of examples of events that confirme...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Cleaning products
A couple of weeks ago one of my brakes seized which resulted in the passenger side of my car being covered in a layer of red hot brake dust. Having tried to clean the car on saturday I found that the majority of the dust wont come off! I've tried T-Cut but to no avail, anybody know any products that...

You win some, you lose some...
Lots of accounts of victories for the humble 2 but surely Im not the only one who's lost a couple of tangles?! What cars have you come unstuck against? Or have any unsuspecting motors surprised you? Personnally my first whopping came at the hands of a Porsche 996 GT2, to be honest I did ok, I was on...

Re: New Turbo
I basically just want a replacement turbo that I can bolt on without strengthening the internals. Current engine mods; HKS Ind Kit Nur Spec exhaust Uprated fuel pump Increased boost (tho dont know how much!) So I dont need anything too major, if I can get around 300fwhp I'll be happy...................

Re: Young Be11 end in a Porche Boxster
I can see why people like the prestige brands as the air of quality does make the likes of the MR2 feel a bit tired. The cars are what they are, what they mean to you will depend entirely on what sort of person you are... Totally agree! I think the main difference between the pseudo-upwardly-mobile...

Driving home from work on friday my front brake decided to lock up sending me sliding towards a lorry. Thankfully managed to avoid a collision but the wheel was seized solid. The AA got me back to Bath (200 miles!) and a set of brake pads and some freshly greased sliders later my car was ready for a...

I may be missing something but I dont really see what the problem is. Yes there are lots of new topics that crop up that have been done time and again but if it bugs you that much dont reply to it, someone else will. If you feel that you must reply then politely suggesting that they try a search is ...

HKS SSQV Dump Valve
Interested in getting one of these, does anybody have any pics of one fitted? I'd like to see where they fit into a REV1/2 engine bay. My Bailey item is in a completely different place to the stock dump valve which has been chucked by one of the previous owners along with all the hoses that were con...

Could be any of those, but its worth checking your hoses for splits/leaks etc.
