Re: NA or Turbo for first MR2 - around £3k to spend

Hi again guys. RyanRs: Yeah that's sort of what I was thinking which initially swayed me to consider a Turbo, but after a few insurance quotes I was a bit put off. lemonyfresh: Cool.. I think that's the key.. waiting until the right one comes along. GTSAARON: I'll give them a try but like toxo said,...

Re: NA or Turbo for first MR2 - around £3k to spend

Cheers for the tips guys :). As you say HighwayStar, as an enthusiast it's worth taking a look, even if it isn't the right car for me. Insurance for the G-Ltd is pretty pricey though! Most places won't touch me (assuming it's because I'm under 25). Admiral is the only place I've found so far and tha...

Re: NA or Turbo for first MR2 - around £3k to spend

I gave the guy a ring the other day and while it seemed ok, it wasn't perfect so I didn't bother. I noticed this: http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1131731.htm on PistonHeads, which seems pretty good.. York being pretty close to me. Maybe if I can wangle them down on the price a tad, it would be a ...

http://www.mr2oc.co.uk/ads.html?page=sh ... 27&catid=5 looks excellent. I may phone the guy today. Pity it's 230miles away! If it's as good as it sounds it'll be worth the trip I reckon though!

Re: NA or Turbo for first MR2 - around £3k to spend

Cheers guys, input is appreciated :). I'm pretty much set on an NA due to reasons mentioned above. HighwayStar: Unfortunately I don't know anyone else who owns a '2 let alone knows anything about them... I'm in Huddersfield at the mo. I think it just boils down to waiting for the right car :). Does ...

Re: NA or Turbo for first MR2 - around £3k to spend

How does this one look (if it's still available?): http://mr2oc.co.uk/ads.html?page=show_ad&adid=812&catid=5 . Quite expensive but if I can bring him down a little on the price.. might be worth it? Not much detail posted but it looks promising. Also looked at the specs for the G-Limited and ...

NA or Turbo for first MR2 - around £3k to spend

Hi guys, I've just graduated for Uni and have landed a proper job so I'd like to finally be able to purchase a Mk2 MR2 - the car I've wanted since I've been 15 :D. Now I need to decide whether to get an NA or Turbo '2 :S. As I mentioned in the title, I've around £3000 to spend so I'm looking at eith...
