Re: Universal aerial for REV 3 mr2

Reception is absolutely fine. All local and national stations are clear in my area. That position is where I had the best reception but would have preferred somewhere a little more subtle. It's all good though!

Re: Universal aerial for REV 3 mr2

You could always fit an interior aerial if you can't find a suitable replacement.

Re: Precursor to the sale

Nice write-up!

Just out of curiosity, how much would one have paid for a 3 year old Rev5 back then?

Re: [Mk2] [NA] 30mm A safe height to lower suspension??

30mm is about the norm if lowering just on springs. I have mine lowered 30mm and it does scrape on the most extreme of speed bumps, but day to day use is fine.

Great videos, thanks for sharing :thumleft:

Sorry, but the last couple of mins of the first video cracked me up. That looked like a nightmare

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Calling all sound system guru's - component kit installation

Happy to help. It was a small company local to me in Wellingborough who specialised in high-end audio installs. Not sure if they're still trading - this was a couple of years ago now. I purchased the component speakers, sound deadening and wiring from them, and supplied the amp myself. They were inc...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Calling all sound system guru's - component kit installation

I have some rather expensive Focal components on my car so I opted to have them professionally installed. From what I gather they fabricated custom MDF spacers and literally just bolted them in. They MAY have used some sort of tape to stop any resonance, but whatever they did I can't hear any unwant...

Pacific Works - Superb!

Acting on the advice of the numerous positive reviews of Pacific Works on here, I though I'd take my first trip down to see Luke yesterday. Wow . I've never seen somebody work so fast and effortlessly in my life! In just a matter of hours, he'd single-handedly removed my entire engine, fitted a new ...

Re: Best MR2 Mark 2 For Me?

You've been a member for 7 years and haven't even owned an MR2? That's dedication! Firstly, get a UK model, always cheaper than imports when it comes to insurance. There are 2 N/A engines, the lower powered 3SFE and the regular 3SGE. If you opt for a 3SGE engine, get a Rev1 or a Rev2 car (1989 - 199...

Re: Help/How to with aerial replacement

I bought an amplified Autoleads interior aerial (RMA819) for pence off eBay as my stock aerial no longer worked. Spliced the power wire on the Autoleads aerial into the GREY wire on the original connector. (Didn't bother with the earth wire as it made no difference) Then just connect the signal cabl...

Re: [Suggestion] IMOC Mobile!

Perhaps a simple solution would be to allow IMOC to work with Tapatalk.

I often browse IMOC through my phone in standard form, and I think it's absolutely fine (I do have a big-screen smartphone though).

I don't personally use Tapatalk, but many people out there do.

It's worth bearing in mind that there are a lot of fake seats out there, especially from the likes of Bride. Do your research before splashing the cash mate :thumleft:

Re: Maximum seat width and aftermarket suggestions

My boss just sold his Audi RS4 which had some epic Recaro seats. Coincidentally, Edge Automotive have just retrimmed a set of these for a Supra. http://www.edgeautomotive.co.uk/wordpress/wp-content/gallery/wide-body-supra/supra-rs4-6.jpg Those seats are probably worth more than the majority of cars ...

Re: Maximum seat width and aftermarket suggestions

I'm sure most regular seats will fit fine as long as they're not noticeably mega wide, anything from the likes of Recaro, Sparco, Corbeau etc. I think the most trouble you will have is sourcing appropriate seat rails - unless you fabricate some yourself. I'd LOVE a set of Recaro's, but they come at ...
