Re: car cover - any recommendations?

I hope you have off-road parking. I lent a Tyvek car cover to a mate to cover the spare shell for his rally car and some of the local child delinquents decided to set the cover on fire. They burn rather well.

Re: HELP!!

I'm assuming you've checked that the filter is on tight? If the oil is coming from around the filter area there is another possibility. The 'O' ring from the old filter may not have come off with the filter and is now mashed up between the new filter and the block preventing the new filter from mat...

Yeehaa. Ditto. I've got 195/45/15 Toyo T1-Rs up front and 195/50/15 Toyo Proxes 4s on the back, but I'm going to throw on some Aurora Radials, (seem to be made out of the same stuff that they make the tiles on the Space Shuttle from), on the back once the current snows melt for some potentially dea...

Re: Anyone have something rigged up to pre heat/defrost their MR?

I used to have a '76 Pontiac Trans Am with T-tops that got a bit 'moist' inside during the winter months. I ran a cable out to it and put a fan heater on the parcel shelf, aimed at the windscreen. Dried the car out nicely, defrosted the windows and never set it on fire even once. Didn't have a timer...

Funny?
I was considering taking a spade along tonight, in case the engine had been sold to someone else and I needed to bury you.

Glad to see you got the photo with the pipe in there. 'Mehhhhh, we didn't have any of this fancy fuel injection in my day. Went to school on the back of a dinosaur', etc.

Re: Rally Car

A tense week for me, worrying if we'd get gazumped on this engine, seeing as we forgot to leave a deposit on it and bigmouth (aw11rally, old buddy, old pal) told eeeeeeeeeveryone here all about the engine. But now it's safely stashed away in my nice warm kitchen, just opposite the fridge. Quietly se...

Re: celica 165 twin calipers (pads)

Subaru Impreza pads fit with a little grinding Yup. My road car used to belong to aw11rally and he fitted ST165 calipers and Impreza-fit Ferodo DS2500 pads. The pads need a little finessing to go in, but in use they're very good. If you weren't daan sarf I'd offer to take you for a spin to demonstr...

Sorry not understanding what the problem is, hence why I asked you to explain. Or is it you thinking I've been harsh on your best chum? Ahh. aw11rally my best chum? No, he's a total (word beginning with C that rhymes with 'hunt'). I'm actually quite a nice guy once you get to know me. Honest. :whis...

Re: FWD European cack

I don't really look at my post count (in) all that much anymore in all honesty. Believe me, don't believe me, don't really care. It's right there under your picture. Will you win some kind of a prize for being first to 30,000 posts? Anyhoo, you seem to be on the wrong forum. Perhaps you should take...

Do you spend long enough away from this forum to actually drive anything? 29000+ posts in five & half years works out at roughly 14.25 posts a day. Every day. Including weekends and Bank Holidays. You must be fun to be around.

If you chop the floor out, can the offside rear corner be chopped out for me to do a repair?? ;-) Cheeky i know but happy to make a donation to the drinking fund!! Re: Floor Pan Advice

Looks like the dead Mister2 is going to be attacked with a couple of 9 inch grinders sometime this weekend Liam. Me or aw11rally will let you know when we've got the floorpans out. They'll need a bit of finesseing to remove the slight dents caused by someone jacking it up under the floorpans in the ...

Re: Floor Pan Advice

My pal aw11rally has a dead MR2 sat in his front garden which was front end damaged in the past and poorly repaired. There is talk of breaking it for spares for our road cars and rally car. The remains of the shell are probably going to get weighed in, possibly minus the roof and the rear end. If, a...

Re: Enville Stages Rally, Anglesey 20/6/10 (pictures and videos now added)

I like your rad protector mesh! Is it just fine mesh? Did you make a stencil for the logo? It's made from a sheet of scrap aluminium perforated sheet/punch plate that I found in a mate's garage, cut and shaped to fit into the grill space. We traced the TOYOTA logo from the rear window spoiler and t...
