Re: [Mk2] [NA] Whitish stuff in the oil cap!
Cheers guys that sounds like a bit of a relief then, no other problems and is only used for short journeys ie. work and back (4 mile round trip) twice per day.
Would it be sensible to take it a longer drive every weekend say? or won't that have much effect?
Oil itself seems clean enough

[Mk2] [NA] Whitish stuff in the oil cap!
Hi folks, found the nightmare milky stuff inside the oil cap.
Does this mean the gaskets gone/about to go? Or are there relatively simple problems that this can indicate?
Cheers in advance for any help/advice

That is incredible mate, I'm not the most technically minded but the workmanship looks fantastic, great read too.
Hope it all goes well

Thats minted, cheers mate
Think I might look at the rubber seal also, seems that some of the holes in it have ripped slightly.

[Mk2] [Generic] Rubber Seals Beneath Doors
The rubber seals which run around the bottom of the doors are held in by lots of small plastic pins. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can stick the seal on 'permanently' as these plastic things aint holding up any longer  I'd use some super sticky glue or something but I'm not sure ...

how much should I expect to pay for a set of leather seats?
