Re: [Mk2] [NA] Whitish stuff in the oil cap!

Cheers guys that sounds like a bit of a relief then, no other problems and is only used for short journeys ie. work and back (4 mile round trip) twice per day.

Would it be sensible to take it a longer drive every weekend say? or won't that have much effect?

Oil itself seems clean enough :)

[Mk2] [NA] Whitish stuff in the oil cap!

Hi folks, found the nightmare milky stuff inside the oil cap.

Does this mean the gaskets gone/about to go? Or are there relatively simple problems that this can indicate?

Cheers in advance for any help/advice

That is incredible mate, I'm not the most technically minded but the workmanship looks fantastic, great read too.

[Mk2] [Generic] Rubber Seals Beneath Doors

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can stick the seal on 'permanently' as these plastic things aint holding up any longer  I'd use some super sticky glue or something but I'm not sure ...

Not Another Scottish Newbie!

yea, 'fraid so. Got my MR2 a few months ago, most of the modifications had been done by the previous owner. I wasn't planning on ever owning an MR2, but since my scoob was written off I was left without choice as I picked it up for very almost nothing. Spent a couple of grand on it so far probably, ...
