Re: problem with soft brake padel that drops half way when pressed
It's actually happens twice. First was after a fluid change and we made the adjustment after completely ruling our air being the cause. Had no issue on the next fluid & pad change. Next pad change was the issue I spoke of and the most recent fluid change was perfect.
A strange one.

Re: problem with soft brake padel that drops half way when pressed
You can also make an adjustment to the rod that goes from the pedal to the master cylinder. After changing my front pads my pedal went soft when pumping the right front after the pad change. I could however pump the pedal up on the second push. I had to adjust the rod and they are sharp again now bu...

From my experience a magnetic sump plug also did it's job on a rebuilt engine.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev3 turbo engine management light - at nurburgring need help.
It wasn't massively busy when I went out Friday morning and got my first 5 laps in but lap 6 in the evening was a different story! It's a 4 day Fri-Mon "Green Hell" event and it was rammed!! Not helped by the track being closed most of the afternoon so everyone was desperate to get out lol...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Rev3 turbo engine management light - at nurburgring need help.
My EML light is coming on when on track and its code 52 knock sensor. It goes off when engine is turned off. Doesn't come on during normal driving although it did come on once after starting and lightly revving it to around 3.5k. This was whist waiting to enter the GP track. I then turned off to res...

Mine usually sits in the garage without use for 2-3 months over winter. I just bring the battery in the house and keep it charged. Once the road salt has gone the battery goes on and im off

They do, it will reduce oil temperatures and in my case my charge cooler core is kept cooler. That's with just one fan!

Re: Dual fans fitted to engine cover.
They're effective but they also put a high load on the alternator. is that a problem though? genuine query. It's not great in my case with two 10" rad fans, cc pump & 2 amps plus the rouge spal. The rouge spal and heater blowers have the biggest impact on my volt gauge when turned on. In f...

Re: Dual fans fitted to engine cover.
They're effective but they also put a high load on the alternator. I removed one of my fans and just meshed over the hole. One fan is plenty imo.
They work well if you have the ST205 charge cooler when in traffic and do drop my oil by around 5c.

[Mk2] [Turbo] Limits of the stock fueling system
How far have people pushed the stock rev3 injectors and pump? When it's mapped I'll be aiming for 340bhp with a hybrid CT20b, St205cc and forged pisgions. Depending on others experiences it might not be worth the cost vs bhp gain. Especially if I can get say 330 bhp with the oem setup. Thanks in adv...
