[Mk2] [Turbo] Boost dropping off after 5800rpm
Just after some advise. Car setup is: Apexi Filter Rouge Downpipe T.B Dev MBC @ 1.1 Bar The car will run a 1.1 bar until l go past 5800rpm when it drops to 1.0 bar. It does this in every gear and the car runs 100% as it should. I was thinking the cause of this might be because im still running the s...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] HKS 264 cams and valve clearances
wow your running some power :thumleft: Regarding cams in a standard engine would you need a remap to run the cams or would it still be within the standard ecu's control capabilities like when increasing the boost? Ill admit something l miss about my N/A was how you needed to rev it hard if you wante...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] HKS 264 cams and valve clearances
Out of interest how extra power do people think you could gain with these cams if your already running around 280 @ 1.1 bar? Id imagine you would loose some low end torque but gain from around 5.5K on more like the 3S-GE?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Boost @1bar or 1.1
The good thing with being on track is that you won't suffer from heat soak as much! Road driving always means stopping in traffic which keeps the under bonnet temps up. Never had a problem with mine on track getting too hot. What boost are you running bud and do you have any other mods? I take it p...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Boost @1bar or 1.1
Track tyres are currently just cheepo nangkang and nexen or similar. Brakes will be standard with yellow stuff pads and 5.1 fluid which is the same setup as my old n/a. Not got my next track day planned yet need to get the car ready first but am hoping to do rockingham later in the year

[Mk2] [Turbo] Boost @1bar or 1.1
About to have the boost raised on my rev 3 tubby. Mods being Apexi Filter Rouge Downpipe MBC Once l get my BK intercooler ill be doing trackdays. I understand alot of people run 1.1 bar but considering my car will be taking alot on track would l be safer running 1.0 bar or is 1.1 perfectly safe even...

Turbos on the dyno (IC cooling)
I thought that has just randomly crossed my mind. When on a RR with a front engined car you have the intercooler at the front with a huge fan blowing air over the intercooler/rad. With an mr2 you get no air flowing over the IC so should it not be making less power than it would on the road or am l m...
