Just Speeds, or the others too? Any mods needed to do that?

Loving these seats!

So how do you get them to fit the MR2? Are there rails available or do you have to modify the stock ones?

Re: 1994 rev3 TRD Widebody turbo build

This is fantastic. I've always wanted a TRD and even got my hands on a kit once, but it's so much work, especially if you're not experienced with bodywork.

Re: Seats for both daily and occasional track use?

Might have them from CardHore if I get a car before they're gone. Depends if they are as good?

They look like just the job to be honest. Where can these be picked up from?

Seats for both daily and occasional track use?

Can anyone recommend anything? I know there are lots and lots of options nowadays, so worth seeing what others are doing.

Has to be adjustable, so no fixed buckets! I want to be able to set the back exactly right for me.

You're right on that, for sure, but from my own experience I know how difficult it is to see the sills condition without cutting into them....

Re: What's involved in dropping a Rev 3 turbo engine into a Rev 5 NA?

Clutch pedal?! What's the difference between the two? Driveshafts I knew, but didn't think to mention. Gear cables a new one on me! Might get a Rev 3 yet, but not keen on buying one and having to do the sills straight away. Just mulling over the options really. As for the popcorn pic, wtf? :?: Rev3...

What needs doing to get the chassis loom connected up? It's been a heck of a long time since I've even looked at the plugs on the MR2 wiring :)

Re: What's involved in dropping a Rev 3 turbo engine into a Rev 5 NA?

Wow ok, thanks for that Peter. I have never heard that one before.

Does anyone know if the chassis loom and Rev 3 Turbo engine loom will be plug and play?

I told myself after the resell I did that I would NEVER do anything like that again.... And now here I am, thinking about something like this!

The popcorn gif re the two previous posts. One specialist is about to share some knowledge with another. Wasn't that cryptic I thought.

I didn't get that, it just seemed a bit out of the blue

What's involved in dropping a Rev 3 turbo engine into a Rev 5 NA?

Just looking at what's for sale just now, there are lots of sub £2k Rev 5 cars about. Just out of interest, would there be any benefit to using one of these as a base for a turbo swap over buying a Rev 3 turbo? I'm thinking sills not being rotten etc. IIRC, I would need an uprated fuel pump, turbo e...

Doh! That will be the stumbling glockenspiel again, getting brackets made.

Did you use a Cinq rad?

Re: How much for a 350bhp Turbo build these days?

Gutted I no longer have the ST205cc that used to be sat in my garage. Nevermind, they're cheap enough to pick up. Where did you get mounting brackets for the CC rad? Fusion Motorsport made mine. Would you mind Pm'ing me the price? Also where you sourced your hoses too? The CC is a definite mod for ...

Re: How much for a 350bhp Turbo build these days?

Two reasons, the first being that I want a cheapie to start with as I am spending all my money paying off cards and a wedding, the second being that I like to know what has been done and don't trust other people to do a proper job lol :D After October I can go nuts with it, but until then there will...
