what i did was remove the ariel (and the spoiler part it runs through), fiber glassed the underside and used red silicone gasket stuff to fill the whole.
while it was still wet i smoothed it over.
its bearly noticable now

Re: new tyres are horrible!!
thats possibly because they are 215 wide.
bear in mind that standards are 225 wide.
i had 205's on the rear of mine at one point and every time you put your foot down in 1st or 2nd gear the car would wiggle its hips even if travelling in a straight line!

are you wiring to an iso plug? (for an aftermarket stereo) or the original plug? if iso, get yourself a multimeter - you need a switchable live, a permanent live, earth (you can earth to a bolt on the chassis) the just connect the speakers up. if its back to the original plug - good luck as i strugg...

Re: [All] [NA] Very annoying STEREO PROBLEM HELP PLEASE :(
if its been bodged - i would personally say it will be a bad earth or a live that isnt secured properly!
just re solder/connect all the connections that are already there.
it will take you about 30 mins to do and i'd put money on the fact it will work!

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Urgent help needed (grovel, grovel)
yes the ecu has been changed. and so has the passenger side wiring loom. also i have noticed that the clocks are burning when the ignition is on. a friend of mine looked at the connecter blocks in the passenger footwell and has said the wires dont appear to match up. could this be a dash loom issue?...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oil dipstick housing
about 1/2 way up the housing there is a right angled knuckle (as the pipe bends)
its there so you can belt it with a hammer!! - then just twist it around to line the bracket up!
