Re: Brake choices? Decision made with recommendation :)

Thought it would be worth a mention, carbotech guys on the phone were great. They did look after me a little on the price very quick delivery good service and confident that they have some of the best pads on the market :)

Brake choices? Decision made with recommendation :)

Afternoon all. I have been running my Rev 3 turbo for a few months now after having it off the road for the best part of 6 years. It certainly is time for new discs and pads but I'm unsure of what to get or where from now. Currently I have carbotech pads with discs from cam skill but unsure of what ...

Re: Changed ECU now I’m back too KMPH?

Thanks

Changed ECU now I’m back too KMPH?

Evening all, So after 5 and a half years stuck in storage my car is back on the road. After some fettling it seems to be working fine. I ended up needing to put in a new ECU (standard) since doing so my speedo now seems to be reading in KMPH. Is this unusual or does it make sense and if so how do I ...

Re: Motivation/ now need help please

He did open up the ECU and check for me but there was no evidence of any damage or leaks but we seem to have run out of options. I did change the coil pack when the problem first started as that's the fault code I had at the time (5 years ago) but the problem didn't go away, we're wondering if that ...

Re: Motivation/ now need help please

Evening all, So the saga continues with trying to get this back on the road. After about 6 weeks at the garage it not skipped a beat, been driven, passed an MOT test left running for ages and been fine. I go to pick the car up today and surprise surprise it wasn't meant to be. My intermittent recurr...

By any chance do you still have your stock ECU? Or something reasonably plug and play?

Re: [FINALIZED] MR2 Rev 3 ECU 89661-17460

This is something I could possibly need at the minute. Is it for rev 3 turbo 3SGTE?

Also would you split from the injectors to make this a little cheaper.

Thanks
Tim

Re: Turbo first starts - stumbles when adding throttle

Sorry to hijack but I have something similar dropped the car of with my mate who has his own garage and knows the car well so I'm hoping he finds it. My car starts up fine but then chooses to dump a ton of fuel into the engine making it run like crap. It will only rev to 3600 rpm and sounds like it'...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Wheel nut thread engagement

I have these wheels on my car and have the extended ARP studs as I also have 10mm spacers on to make them fit a little nicer. The studs were away enough to fit and not expensive I think it's worth the work to have a little more thread available but there is no science behind my opinion :) https://pr...

Re: Motivation/ now need help please

 so today was MOT day and I was quietly hopeful that once I had taken the car to my mates place fitted the new tires and downpipe that all would be well and good..... Of course this didn't happen and the car would not start at all. I re connected the battery put some fresh fuel in checked the l...

Re: Motivation/ now need help please

Thanks for the heads up. The car has been doing this since I took it off the road although seemed to be fine las year when I took it for a service. The code comes up with ignition coil issue I think but I have changed this. We have come to the conclusion that I have a cheap nasty downpipe on the car...

Re: Motivation/ now need help please

https://www.magisto.com/album/video/J3srRQVGSFB6IT4PYnZLAHg?l=vsm&o=i&c=c The video makes it sound like the engine is knowcking and misfiring but on idol it runs perfect at just under 1,000 RPM as soon as I touch the throttle it then starts to misfire and chicle it's self. From recollection ...

Re: Motivation/ now need help please

Getting close, I've git an MOt booked in on the 5th but the car is doing funny things again. Before I took it off the road it intermittently started cutting out and I changed the throttle body, coil pack, spark plugs dizzy cap and leads yet the problem doesn't seem to be going away. This morning the...

Re: Motivation/ now need help please

Cheers all sounds good and will check out the videos later.

I have braded hoses on the car so they will be fine but a fluid flush sounds like a good idea. The alarm I have worked just off the Fob so didn’t have a sepperate touch key presumably for immobiliser?

Thanks :)
