dont you have to undo the pivot bolt at the bottom of the altenator? i did anyway as it seemed to releave stress off the adjuster bolt. i didnt think the water pump was driven by the alt belt on the mr2's, i drove quite far and the temp needle never moved from were its usually sat i just had to get ...

lol when mine came off i just carried on driveing as usual got home and fitted a spare no big deal. you just dont want to get stuck in traffic as the fans wont come on (i dont think anyway)

i still get worried when i see these cars, i worry that my car falls into the same crappy catagory of a tackky chav mobiles. (my car is also lambo orrange ) i think/hope i pulled it off a bit better than that though.

my car wasnt a simple full re spray it had a lot of fabrication and also was painted in a 3 stage pearl plus i know the guys and did alot of work myself so i wouldnt like to say how much incase its far from what they would charge for other jobs. if you just want a price for a full mr2 colour change ...

is there any chance the pully is seizing on it. if its going stiff it could be creating to much load on the engine so the revs are dropping and then the engine may be compensating for the extra load. or the belt could be to tight ( i dont know if this would have that big an affect though) the revs o...

ye i suppose thats possible or that it is not cutting in the warning because im only on part throttle maybe but i still dont get why its stuttering. ive felt fuel cut before and it has never stuttered on me.

im sometimes having an issue with the turbo stuttering. standard ct20 turbo running 1.2 bar with a greddy E01 boost controller. this only happens when its really cold or raning most of the time. if im on the motorway in 4th or 5th gear and i just give between quater and half throttle the boost rises...

if you weld the plate the bog is verry thin so wont crack. its just like filling in a dent and you end up with very little filler on the door. if you do it this way you wont need to worry about cracking.

ive just had it done on my car and its not a simple job as there is alot to think about. you dont want to do a cheap job of it as it wont last. if you just fill it up with bog its likely to crack over time or be wavey and not flat. to do my car the garrage fabricated metal plates that were wleded in...
