Re: Standard tyre size for rev3 Turbo?

Thanks Shinny, that's really helpful, need to sort out them this weekend. Can you get the 205 type to fit the front or would you stick with 195?

Re: Insuring an MR2 with electronic boost controller

Checked Sky. £460 for 7000 miles comprehensive with Berk decat pipe, Apexi exhaust, Arc induction plus the Gizzmo boost controller. Admiral my current insurer which has just lapsed but want to insure on the three mods already there as last year (but won't do a boost controller) is £311. Makes you wo...

Insuring an MR2 with electronic boost controller

Hi. Any ideas for names of insurance companies to insure the MR2 with? Currently just lapsed with Admiral. Admiral for last two years, mods are decat, air boz and exhaust. They were fine with that. Now I want to put my Gizzmo electronic boost controller back in but they say they can't do it. I like ...

That is one really nice Beams, if I was in the market for another MR2 at the mo I'd like that car. About 200 bhp if the memory is working today so basically a mid engined rwd Type R in power :D

Stoke on Trent is like an ice rink. There's no way I could risk that tubby out there today. Will stick to the bike

Re: How much to fit a De-Cat?

I ended up paying £150 to get it put on. Seems quite a bit but the mechanic seemed to be having a lot of bother doing the job, reckoned the bolts were breaking off, etc. He is the cheapest I know for anything else and was a little shocked by the price but he reckoned it took five hours and only char...

Re: MR2 newbie - List your top 3 MR2 owning tips!

OK just bought my first tubby with a few mods and it is faster than any hot hatch out there in Staffordshire. TVRs do seem a problem but hot hatches just go away in my rear mirror Thought that'd make somebody bite. :D In the dry an MR2 is fine but almost anything is faster through a twisty road in ...

[quote="Si_Crewe"] Accept that, like it or not, your car WON'T keep up with a modern hot hatch.

Re: what is the cheapest insurance co. for mr2 turbo's?

It may have something to do with listing crashes in last 5 years. One where I touched the rear of an Astra cost like £150. Other £7,200 my fault where I hit a scammer who defo had his rears turned off and yes they both claimed whiplash. Both in a works van so no probs with the NCB but they must take...

Re: what is the cheapest insurance co. for mr2 turbo's?

Adrian Flux is just the oddest lot I've dealt with. They wouldn't give up phoning me even though they admitted they couldn't get near other quotes! Anyway six years ncb and no points at 37. Tesco insurance cost me £350 TPFT incl turbo timer, apexi gt exhaust and arc induction. Compared to other quot...

Under strict instructions from her in doors "no more MR2s." Got me original mk1 mothballed down the garden, the rev3 Turbo going like a dream, then you advertise this! You are going to make me have a bad nights kip tonight, that car is just so beautiful, the drivers seat looks like new, oh...

Oh that is just beautiful. I just bought a mk2 and have exactly the same year and colour mk1 down the garden untaxed and miss driving it, to be honest it's a better drive than the turbo. Seems like a great buy at the price with the 20v fitted.

Re: [FINALIZED] Black 1995 Rev 3 Turbo Tintop

I bought a similar car recently. The same year Rev3 M reg. I was mk1 and always wondered whether the Mk2 Rev3 turbo was all that it is cracked up to be. Well having had the car for three weeks now it is the best thing since sliced bread, it is a fine looking car, more importantly it is so fast throu...

Sold to me. Did the deal with Sutton, offered the asking price and will be collecting the car tomorrow from Nottingham. Just hope I get some sleep tonight as it's going to be a heavy day at work tomorrow and seriously deleriously over excited by this MR2.
