Have you checked the rear brake dust shields, they are quite flimsy, could have been pushed against the disk

Re: Milton Keynes Social (4th Sat of every month) - 23/02/13

We really should get this going again, it's been such a long time since there's been a meet up. Another car club I have contacts with meet up at the Three Tuns Pub in Mk. They seem quite accommodation there. I guess we could even tag along with them if numbers are a bit low. They meet up monthly, il...

Bomex Drift Wing £250

Genuine drift wing in excellent condition, no cracks or chips. Painted 6m1 dark emerald green, but not particularly well, a bit patchy in places. Comes with the four stainless mounting brackets, although two were homemade, they are close enough and do the job. £300 (price dropped)+ p&p, although...

I'm not too sure side skirts would post too well, I'll have a look and see what boxes I have available and see if I might be able to keep them intact

16" staggered 7"/8" Rays /BH alloy wheels

Genuine Rays engineering wheels, staggered for proper MR2 fitment. They sit really nicely as they are, but I have 20mm spacers on the rear. Ther were painted a fairly ghastly red centre with black rim when I bought them. Just before JAE I ghetto refurbed them black centres with gold lips, a massive ...

Bomex body kit bits

I've made the difficult decision to break my car. This is not an immediate thing, so this is a bit of an interest thread as much as anything, although after the 7th or 8th December I will be able to start removing bits So the interesting bits, I have Aftermarket Bomex front. This a US style with the...

Re: Calling South East Owners (London, Herts, Beds Bucks)

I'm going to be there this year, although with another club unfortunately. I had my ticket last year, to come with IMOC , but the car failed me, so again I ended up on another stand in a Yaris. I have experienced JAE with IMOC, I gatecrashed the year you won best club, and enjoyed the Jaeger on offe...

Re: Calling South East Owners (London, Herts, Beds Bucks)

Now my car has some form of reliability going on (probably jinxed it now), I'm up for meets etc. I haven't really attended too many shows for the last couple of years so it will be good to be a bit more sociable with fellow car people. I'm based in Hatfield and drive a green rev 3 Turbo. I already k...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Hole in chassis for easy acccess to fuel pump mod

Problem with that as I see it is the hard pipes running the length of the tank, if you reworked this then it could be possible. Could cut a panel out under the shifter mechanism, then use a piece cut from another tunnel that is slightly bigger. Few rivnuts, nice rubber seat and you're sorted

Re: Failed fuel pump? Melted in tank wiring

You need to be very clear that the heatshrink you've used is safe for petrol. If not it will simply dissolve, exposing your wires and putting you at risk of short circuit (as well as contaminating your fuel). I always use crimped connections within the fuel tank for just this reason. bu88er, I didn...

Re: Failed fuel pump? Melted in tank wiring

The pump is fine, it was crimped with the ones supplied with the pump. My guess is that it was cheap crap that couldn't handle the amps. The joints are now soldered properly and heatshrunk, so no more problems.

If that pump fails now im not taking the tank out again, I'd rather break it
