spray all the plugs with contact cleaner and reset the codes a few times is an open a broken wire or a bad connection have a look on mr2ben to see if the years are the same

I was driving pretty hard and 4th gear has gone funny ,it takes two attempts to get it in gear . when its in it dosent jump out . the gearbox was totally rebuilt this year so im hoping its in the linkage . would a stretched cable cause this . any ideas . cheers

just for the record iv taken the glove box out and theres a big complicated airbag plug fastened to the top ,disconnected the battery and undid the plug to clean the contacts put it all back together and cleared the codes . I don't know how long it will last but that's a code 54

you need to know when to give up . all the jobs are fixable . the coolant loss is the worst but that could be a leaking rad or a knackered engine . the suspension could be a bush or four shocks . id say it would cost 2000 to put right . if you cant do the work yourself you need to look at the figure...
