my personal preference for trackday companys is javelin trackdays ive been doing trackdays a few years now and ive not experinced a better service. its run by people really in to motorsports and were all previously in to rallying and marshalling so when they wernt driving they were helping organisin...

thats pretty much what they use at track days but with extended mic so should be intresting to read results. i tried to do mine with a friends RTA that we used to use for db drag but so far are mics havnt proved to be sucessfull, since phase out of old mics its now bloody hard to anything with them ...

90% of run is the driver and launch my friend to has a cammed 16v ax and his 0-60 time is 6.1s timed at trax and his last 1/4 time at york was something along lines of 14.5iirc were setting a similar battle to you at york as last time we went head to head i was completly stock and only had my car 7 ...

thanks there is some use bits there, i thought major chassis revision were done on rev 3, i now can look at rev2's for my brake upgrades :D what difference did the chassis changes have has any compared both back to back? ive drove my rev1 and compared it to a friends rev3 imho the rev3 felt watered ...

oh i agree in gear speed and masses of torque make it so much better, but going by figures and facts i have, no my vts wasnt cammed (i dont think) full breathing mods and every scrap of weight i didnt need removed. people really dont appricate how much difference weight makes, how ever losing weight...

first rule
NEVER fit mbc with out an accurate boost gauge its the most important thing ive ever fitted to my car.
buy a guage and wind mbc right in so its at lowest setting, then repeat on an air feild prefereable untill correct boost setting is reached

one question how do you know it was standard? there's far to many sleepers out there now for my liking, figures from my striped out vts 141bhp 0-60 - 6.6's 1/4 mile -14.8's top speed-141.7mph (gearing wouldnt allow it to go any higher) 883kg inc driver sorry but my standard mr2 turbo only passed 6.4...

hate to annoy but i come from them circles, but my mates 106 gti very under estimated car, of a roundabout stayed on par with my rev1 gt turbo to around 70 after that i left it for dead, but suprised is understatement from me. ive also got a mate with a vts engined citroen ax it was 6.1 0-60 at trax...
