Re: Anyone running on Koni's & Eibachs? Or Konis & OEM Springs?
If it's roll that is your major concern, put a set of Whiteline ARBs on :thumleft: indeed, even with stock suspension (springs and shocks) a upgrade of the swaybars make a very much marked improvement on body roll and handling as a whole. a nice fat front one helps with turn in as well. but dont go...

Re: Prothane Urethane Bushings, are they really worth it?
I needed to get the front control arm bushes replaced before I could have the camber set up by Northampton Tyres. The only place I could easily find individual poly bushes was the fensport superflex ones, which is what I got. I think I also got front lower arm inner bushes and they came to about hal...

Re: AW11 Coilovers..
This thread suggests coilovers are a good idea. http://www.club4ag.com/faq_and_tech_pages/aw11_mr2_tuning_guide.htm I have been thinking about putting on the Koni Sport kit for a while, at least you get shiny new yellow struts as well as opposed to just inserts and springs. But I read another web pa...

Re: Front Suspension Modifications ?
Reading your first post also it sounds like the springs u plan to chop don't even come from an mr2 and are different lengths? Sounds like an accident waiting to happen. While the decision is your own, bear in mind that if they are different lengths they could be different rates too, if you don't fu...

i stilldont know what are the front bumper turn signal lights' "white" lenses for... maybe something to do with the light switch in last position, when the lights are off but still up. any ideas? You guys are funny. There are side lights in the bumper as well as the main headlight. If you...

Re: Whats the record for the number of miles after the fuel light comes on?
I remember someone saying once, Kev Crazlegs I think it was, that you've usually got about 30miles once the warning light comes on and stays on so i've been working on that basis and haven't been caught out yet. Was pushing it last week actually and prob did 25-30 miles with the warning light on pr...

Re: Woodsport Rally car
Woo hoo, lush. Keep it Paul, or at least keep the moulds, seems to be a fair bit of interest in FG parts for racing. I'm interested in tracking my car so you can lob some FG bits on when you do the 1MZ  What happened to its butt, looks like it has worms and draggin on the floor. What's a 222D ...

Re: Insurance quote, is this a good price in your opinion?
Blimey, I pay £400 with Adrian Flux and I'm a 37 year old project manager. It is my daily driver though with an SC conversion and wheels and chasis mods declared and for 15k miles a year.
I'm in Northants.
I just got a quote on a std 911 (996) rough guide on web of £600.

Re: Motorway cabin noise
It's all subjective, I doubt you'll get an answer you're happy with. I find mine noisy personally too. I put it down to being a 25 year old car with no stereo. If it's not tyres or road noise or panels, it could just be wind noise over the A pillars. It's all pretty guttural around the windows. Does...

AW11 AE101 GZE starter problem
I have an 86 AW11 Mk1 B with AE101 SC engine. A few weeks ago it didn't start initially, but then did when I re-tried. Then it was fine for weeks. Then about 2 weeks ago it wouldn't start at all one chilly damp morning, not even after re-trying. Just clicked. Starter solenoid? So I started looking a...

Re: Window Probs
Nothing wrong with the door switch as not touched them. None of the windows were working from either door switch, but I found the problem. The fuse for the windows was missing. Don't know how that happened as they were working before I took the column out and I didn't sweep up any spare fuses off th...

Re: Cooling system air lock problem
Well, I did initially think head gasket when I started losing water, but my garage man said its not as it would be pouring white smoke out the exhaust if it was burning coolant. But I suppose if the compression is forcing air out, it won't be able to let water back into the chamber?

Cooling system air lock problem
All. I seem to have an air lock in my cooling system. Symptoms: Looses water at between 1/4 and 1ltr / tank (200 miles) When water is low, gurgling heard in the dash, heater matrix. Water is very frothy in filler and header. Header tank is full. I had a new rad less than a year ago as I lost a lot o...

Mk 3 seats
Well I hit a slight stumbling block fitting the Mk3 seats as per Jimi's instructions. http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/jlawson/Seats/Seats.htm Drilling through rivets and welds is hard. I was using the Bosch titanium bits and they blunted, ending up creating lots of metal filings but not cutting through. ...

Re: Blue interior, black leather? UPDATE: Elise Seats in aw11
They look the absolute nuts. Look like they sit right on the floor. Proper racing car style so your legs are straight out in front of you. How comfortable are they? Looks like there is no padding, plus what's it like really driving with the seat that low? I am 6 ft and the Mk1a seats in my Mk1b sit ...

4agze o2 lambda sensor
I got engine warning light on and picked code 21 off the dash. Does anyone know the part number for an ae101 gze o2 lambda sensor and or where to get one. Mr T quoted me £160 inc VAT, hardly peanuts. Autogateway have them at £77 but I don't know if they are the right sort.

Yeah I do know what the wheel figure was. I thought it was appalling so I dont really wanna say lol Should have pumped your tyres up to give a higher whp figure. Seriously don't worry about it WHP can vary enormously and they always come out very low on MK1's. I had something like 182bhp at flywhee...
