Re: My rev1 turbo tbar
Sooo tempting... What kind of power is it putting out? I haven't dynoed it bud, running this setup, but I can only assume a similar figure to a rev3 running 1.1 bar. All I can say, is that real world performance, there is nothing in it between mine, steves (steve_c) and marks (markandlyn). To be ho...

Re: My rev1 turbo tbar
Thanks for the kind words guys :thumleft: Looks like something pretty special. Just curious but it still have the stock 440cc injectors? No bud, rev3 management and fuelling. Used to have a big turbo, with 870cc delphi injectors, with a power fc, but I went back to stock rev3 management, and a new c...

My rev1 turbo tbar
Well folks, time has come for me to move on, and explore other avenues, so its with regret that my mr2 is up for sale. Ive owned her since May 2003, and bought it as a bone stock rev 1 turbo. In my ownership, the its gone through various transformations, as most of you are aware, and I cannot stre...

My favourite red by far, is the lexus is200. It's really vibrant, and looks stunning.

Re: Rev2 onwards delimiter
Yeah, I know that an electronic delimiter works, I also know that stefs ones are the most popular. I just wondered if a simpler solution was available, and had simply been overlooked all these years
Thanks guys

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Where to tap in dash boost gauge
I understand mate, I did in fact used to know most of the colours behind there - and where they went, but ive forgotten  You could always do it the Heath Robinson way and slip the illumination wire between the contact and pcb on one of the 4 main twist bulbs  I never suggested that woul...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Where to tap in dash boost gauge
Surely the easiest option is to just find which wire on one of the 3 cluster plugs becomes live when the lights are switched on?
A simple circuit tester or multimeter will find that for you.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Max power from hybrid turbos - who has made what bhp???
I'm confused as to why people would spend moonbeams on an engine rebuild only to bottleneck it with a CT series turbo that has to run 1.5 bar + to get any decent power. Because it's a direct fit, so the oil/water lines can be reused, the downpipe fits, heat shield fits. Plus, if there's ever a prob...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Max power from hybrid turbos - who has made what bhp???
I'll be interested to know the outcome too, as I was told that the reason most companies use the ct26 to hybridise (if thats even a word), is because someone went to the trouble of creating custom bearings a few years ago, and they're easy to obtain - whereas, replacement bearings for the ct20b can...

Re: Rev2 onwards delimiter
Thanks for the input so far guys. I don't have an electronic speedo, mines a rev1. Hence the hypothetical question. I See loads of posts about fitting delimiters and such to later cars, but didn't know if there was a much simpler option - using UK clocks, albeit having a 160mph speedo instead of 180...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Max power from hybrid turbos - who has made what bhp???
I used a company called 'turbo rebuild' in Birmingham iirc. They were really friendly, and helpful over the phone. With mine, I only sent the core, as I removed both housings myself. They stripped it, cleaned it, checked the tolerances and inspected the bearings, fitted new seals, a steel shaft/exha...
