Surely the easiest option is to just find which wire on one of the 3 cluster plugs becomes live when the lights are switched on?

A simple circuit tester or multimeter will find that for you.

I See loads of posts about fitting delimiters and such to later cars, but didn't know if there was a much simpler option - using UK clocks, albeit having a 160mph speedo instead of 180...
