Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oh golly gosh!! Coolant issue's!!
Hi Nigel, did you have you heater control set in the hot position? Dave - yes the 13mm bolts, thats them. As 'blue' said make sure the car is level and then run for a while to get the pump to hopefully move an airlock which should hopefully free things up :) The tubby holds 13.6 litres and the n/a 1...

No need to take anything off I don't think. Have you removed both the grain plugs from the rad pipes that run the length of the car??
You can run the engine no problem at all though, just for about 90 seconds

Re: Best EBC
I went for the MS-IBC, more out of ignorance really. In hindsight the basic one would probably do me fine. I haven't looked at what the difference is between the two apart from about 30 notes  They do seem to get rave reviews in Oz land, I just hope they are justified. Will find out tomorro...

Re: What spark plugs are you using?
Hi Chaps I have standard plugs in the tubby rev 3 at the moment, is it a must to go a grade colder when I up the boost to 1 bar?

Re: Best EBC
I think that may be partly the case, they certainly don't have the range of features of an Apexi AVCR but they seem good. Fairly new to the UK I think. I hope it turns out to be good. Delivery is due before 3pm tomorrow :) so I shall post a review once I have it fitted and working :) Here is the lis...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Oh golly gosh!! Coolant issue's!!
Possibly an air lock matey, did you try running the car midway through filling to clear any pockets of trapped air? Also you may need to cranck the radiator bleed valve open more, I had to open mine way more than the recommended 3 turns to open it properly. Also I take it you checked the tube for ki...

[Mk2] [Turbo] ebc installation - internal or external wastegate?? :)
Just downloaded the manual for the ebc I have ordered, and the set up is different depending upon whether it is an internal or external wastegate set up. So I am just wondering what the rev 3 mr2 has......an internal or an external set up
Cheers

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] BC Coilovers - Which Model?
Hello mate, I have had the BR ones (the cheaper ones) on the tubby for about 6 weeks now and I am really impressed. I was slightly apprehensive about what the ride quality would be like but it turns out that its fine. I even have them set more towards the hard end of the scale as well!!! I had a n/a...

[Mk2] [Turbo] boost controller questions :)
Hi folks, Have been doing a bit of research into getting the mods rolled out on my standard rev 3 tubby. First on the list was a de-cat however I don't want any MOT hassle, its a 1995 car so it is right on the limit as far as which emissions test it has to take, so I am looking at different options....

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] coolant query
If you dont want to risk rounding the bolt, then the only way to get more old coolant out is to get a length of hose pipe and shove it into the hole where the filler cap goes in the engine bay and then blow down it to shift some coolant from the engine block. If you have a 12mm socket the two drain ...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Downpipe..... is it worth it without a new exhaust??
I have searched and there are lots of threads on exhausts and downpipes, but what I am wondering is, due to my limited budget (xmas round the corner) is it worth fitting a de-cat and keeping the standard zaust or is it pointless unless you swap the whole lot for a more free flowing unit? I suppose w...

Re: Rev 2 Turbo erratic speedo
hello mate, My rev3 speedo does the same however mine is following the fitting of an impulse modifier to change the speed to mph, just a little chip wired in to the speedo input wire. I should have soldered the joints but instead I was lazy and used bullet connectors which I am guesssing are the rot...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Quick question about coolant change :)
Just a quickie, bled the system down today and managed to get a total of just under 9 litres of coolant out. This seems a bit low so does anybody have any ideas how to get more out? Also the two drain bolts on the radiator pipes beneath the car each had a mini gasket on them that has now perished. H...

Re: Battery dead what do I do now :( Advice needed
Is there no way of pushing the mr2 out the way and then getting the work car out, and then pushing the mr2 back?
I bet your battery is fine, 3 hours of lights on is plenty to run a battery flat. Id get a battery pack jumper from halfords, bout 30 quid. Useful bit of kit
