Hi,
So when you 90s MR2 Turbo cat fails, and you need it to pass emissions
what do you do?
I would be prepared to get a new one from Toyota but they aren't available?
Has anyone had success with alternatives?
Tony

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Goose Honk - re-circ solutions?
When I first got my MR2 it suffered from the horrible goose honk sound with an Apexi air filter, so it was replaced with an HKS SSQV BOV. After quite a few years I fitted a ST205 Chargecooler and wasn't happy with the HKS BOV fitment. So I got the original BPV and tested it as per the BGB. I found ...

Yep, mine are gapped at 0.8.
I use the iridium variant bkr7eix or something like that.
Are you on copper or some precious metal?
Cheers,
Julius
Using platinum also tried copper neither worked at 0.8..
Did you end up changing you igniter in the end?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Weak Ignition maybe - reduced gap from 0.8 to 0.6
did you check your ignitor? they crack and cause all sorts of missfire issues under boost. Interesting I wasn't aware of these... I see MR2Ben only has NA ones :( https://www.mr2-ben.co.uk/products/565 Thanks, T Hi Tony, Hope you are well! The igniter is the same for REV3+ turbo and N/A (except bea...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Weak Ignition maybe - reduced gap from 0.8 to 0.6
Hi, I have replaced coil pack/HT Leads/rotor/dizzy, all with Toyota parts. New plugs gapped to 0.8 - car hesitates under full boost, but otherwise seems fine. New plugs gapped to 0.6 - car runs perfectly all the way to full boost. I don't really know where to start, maybe earthing points? For info t...

Hi, I have a rev5 which was stolen so had to find replacement steering column. I ended up with one with rake adjustable. You can get the steering wheel around and inch or 2 closer to you. I am 5ft 8 and i was happy with the position of the non rake adjustable position. I now have the rake adjustable...

My Whinebro is loud too. Going to swap it for that Supra/Denso pump that's a direct replacement. Does anyone have AEM 320lph fuel pump, its meant to be as quiet as stock, or at least quieter than walbro? Do u have a link handy to online stockist of the Denso direct replacement Fuel pump? Thanks, Tony
