Re: so called "quality" manifold!!!!!

Very good post, mate, and demonstrates the concerns on this thread. =D> It takes more than being a good welder/fabricator to make a decent manifold, and you can be sure that Toyota put a lot of time in the R&D of theirs. That's not to say that improvements can't be made, but it'll take a fair bi...

Re: What would you want a "Mk4" MR2 to be like?

If you put 300+ bhp in a sub 1 tonne mid engined rwd car it would be insane. Think about it, the Exige is about 190bhp and weighs about 870kg's - 0-60 in 4 seconds! Very good point! But I think ANY OEM would struggle to release a focused sportscar with good handling and all the mod cons that people...

This is one area where I think the Japs have ALWAYS been bad at. They quite obviously copy aspects of certain popular cars, but very badly!

So, on that basis, what cars (or aspects of) do you like the design of?

Re: Anyone work with or can supply polycarbonate

A couple of guys have already done the F40 style one piece rear covers that cover the whole rear window area. I'll be stuffed if I can recall who they were now though... (Assuming I'm thinking of the same thing) I think you're talking about Chris Billing and co, and you're right, but the difference...

Taken from the american site........ Image Replaced With URL For Quote http://www.dcfo.com/experiment.jpg Is that a Photoshop exercise, as it looks like a cross between a Mk2 roof and a Mk3 lower body? Re: What would you want a "Mk4" MR2 to be like?

Esmond, I wouldn't be too sure about there not being another "MR2"! Toyota's investment in F1 ultimately means that they'll want to reap some benefits from road car sales, so I'm sure there'll be at least 2 performance cars appearing in the near future. What's undecided is the branding of ...

Re: What would you want a "Mk4" MR2 to be like?

I should also add, how many "variants" should there be? eg, the Mk2 has an NA and turbo variant, and each of these has effectively a GT and GT-S trim (G and G-limited in the NAs case).

What would you want a "Mk4" MR2 to be like?

Hi all, Just wanted to trigger a discussion on what they'd consider to be the right direction to go for Toyota with the next generation MR2 (if there is one!). Seeing as the MR-S is coming to the end of its life soon, I'd be interested to hear from owners of all Marks on what they consider important...

Try these guys, mate!

I was going to contact them regarding a "new" project I was planning, but I don't have as much available spare time anymore. Let's hope your idea is the same one, and then I can rely on *you*! ;)

Re: *IF YOU HAVE HAD OR HAVE A NUR-SPEC PLEASE READ*

Here's an interesting thing (although not sure where it gets us!)... Just been speaking to Mark over MSN, and it appears that he's been using the NUR Spec with the Aussie downpipe. Now, initially on mine, I had the NUR Spec fitted with the Blitz deCAT pipe (which has a support on the block to stop a...

Where did you get it from, Mark, and did you have it from new?

Just want to make sure that it's not been fixed before you got it, and hence no problems since.

Re: *IF YOU HAVE HAD OR HAVE A NUR-SPEC PLEASE READ*

it means there is a hole somewhere from which exhaust gases are blowing out of. around the flexi this can be seen by sooty residue. That's the annoying thing with this case - I inspected EVERY inch of that exhaust before selling it, and there were no external signs of anything worrying, so it seems...

Re: *IF YOU HAVE HAD OR HAVE A NUR-SPEC PLEASE READ*

I noticed camskill sell flexi section's could these be used to repair the nur flexi pipe? If so does anyone know what size would be needed? http://www.camskill.co.uk/brands/exhaust_flexi_sections_-_ilok_the_best.php It doesn't look like they do the right size, mate! I really must get round to fitting my uprated engine mounts 8-[ I'm afraid to say that this won't make a difference! :( I've got the uprated TRD mounts (front and back) on mine, and have also never even launched the car since the NUR Spec exhaust was fitted, and it still seems that the flexi sectio...

Re: *IF YOU HAVE HAD OR HAVE A NUR-SPEC PLEASE READ*

I should also add that, after speaking with Bry, it seems that he uses the same kinda flexi section as I've seen on systems that seem to last a helluva longer than the Blitz one! And it's not just Blitz systems that seem to have the same problem, as I've heard of plenty of "Departure" syst...

Re: *IF YOU HAVE HAD OR HAVE A NUR-SPEC PLEASE READ*

Having searched around on this very forum, it seems several people have had to replace their flexi section on the Blitz NUR Spec, although quite a few feel that it may have been caused by bottom the car out. However, I'm not so convinced, as comparing the flexibility of the flexi section to other af...

Re: Leda Coilovers

IIRC most people were having rubbing issues with these and 17s! Just to add that almost all coilover setups for the MR2 (including the TRD ones!) recommend that you fit spacers at the front to make clearance with the inside of the front wheels. ISTR that only Tein ones don't need this, as they use ...
