Re: Magical 300hp
I'm pretty sure jimgts used the rev 3 ecu not a programmable one If you can fork out for a rev3 conversion do it and use a rev 3 head as they have better air flow.. It's been so long since I had my rev2 turbo I can't remember what boost levels it can handle with a metal hg.. Might be worth investing...

A rev3 turbo in a MK1 with 1.1 bar must be mental

Opened the lid and revved the car and the noise came from the bov suspected diaphragm split. Has anyone else ever had this problem? also wanna say thanks to luke at pacific works f...

Re: Alternator AGAIN !!
Biggest reason for alternator failure on MR2s is oil dripping onto it from failed cam cover gaskets. Furthermore, many "reconditioned" alternators are nothing more than cleaned up and repaired. NOT fully reconditioned. What guarantee period did you get on your previous ones? My guy guaran...

Re: Got Spark, got fuel, but it wont start!
Try taking the ecu apart and inspect the electrolytic capacitors for leakage onto the PCB below - They are prone to failure at this age. Spot on, one of the resistors has leaked and corroded through the contact. New ECU required then. Cheers. seems like this is a common fault when they hit this sor...
