Re: Questions, Questions, Questions
Hi guys So I recently bought an MR2 Rev 2 Turbo and I would love it if someone could give me an insight on a few questions I have. 1. Where is a good place to buy legitimate aftermarket parts for the Mr2 turbo, e.g intercooler, boost gauge etc. 2. Why doesn't the turbo pull easily to the red line o...

Re: MR2 won't start
Hi, I know it seems like a worst case scenario, but i had the same symptoms (albeit on a 1992)...ended up changing every spare part i had (& knew worked), ignito, coil, dizzy, leads, plugs, earth cables, fuses etc etc...until i ended up changing the ECU and she fired straight up. Once i knew, i...

Re: tubby + rain dont mix
Had the same problem in my old rev2 tubby drove me nuts until I sorted it out. If I can dig out my old post on mr2oc I'll post it here . But anyways My tubby left me stranded in the rain in a village like 90 miles away from home I didn't want this again so I found my problem First my tubby had origi...

Re: mr2 turbo rev 3+ vs s2000
Mine was a B16a VTi, Quaife LSD, exhaust and induction. Really hauled for a 1.6 and with the diff was great in the bends. Before I got my old tubby I had a EM1 VTI (b16a) great car.. Wish I got it in the hatchback though as my friends EK4 VTI was ever so slightly quicker ! I'm sure the EG6 VTI is q...

Re: Ct26 turbo on rev 3
My old rev 2 turbo (pretty much standard) couldn't really boost well to the redline with the CT26. Weird, mines did with no boost controllers etc I may have a video somewhere aswell of me going to redline, will try find it. Mine did too but the problem is the power drops dramatically after 6000 rpm...

Re: would like up BHP till about 300
Remember the MLS headgasket the original doesn't like 1.0+ bar Was fine running 20psi+ on mine, how many have you blown? His secret was water meth.. Gained power and kept knock / detonation down. Interesting build read up on his thread. If I get another turbo charged car (apart from my smart lol) w...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] rev 2 power
Hey guys was just wondering, if I can hit around the 300bhp mark in rev 2 without doing a rev3 conversion what would this consist of if so and is it worth it? Cheers drivermad iv seen people hit around 290 bhp just requires a CT20b turbo.. JimGTS hit 301 bhp but he did have a rev3 setup first thing...

Re: High CO & Fuel Trim Troubleshooting
Not being funny mate but peter probably the best mr2 specialist. If he saying it's a new cat time it's new cat time.. However since your car is a rev2 tubby it doesn't need to go threw a cat test you can decat the tubby and put it threw a non-cat test and pass. Even better you could leave the cat on...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Engine wont start in kit car. Alot of checks done
just had a friend over who works for a breakdown company with some extra gizmo's, light battery booster etc... He put a light diode on the injectors and it was weak, then after checking cables etc.. sometimes not at all, then weak after another check / move of cables. rare we got a strong light fro...

Re: Difference between GT and non-GT

Re: Gen 4 3SGTE details ?
It would be interesting to hear from someone in the uk that owns one Apparently spool time is faster !
