Re: poss trd bargain ?? not sure

I'd say it's accurately priced. It would take alot of time to get right but it's also alot cheaper than a new kit so I'd say that's fair. If it's been fitted to a car before you know the fit is reasonable. Ask to see pictures of it when it was fitted, from there you should get a good idea of what yo...

Re: Suggestion - banned members...

Ask yourself, would you wish to join a forum knowing their are scammers on there. That right there is exactly the point of this discussion as I see it. I think with a secondary transfer service for people who don't like paypal pretty much everybody should be okay with the options available. The pro...

Re: Suggestion - banned members...

Okay are you saying that your suggestion would be to make the forum paypal or cash only? Putting aside the people who don't like using paypal it would stop scamming IF you could actually make it a forum rule but I can't see how you'd be able to tell people how they have to pay for things. There's al...

Re: Suggestion - banned members...

This is all getting a bit irreverent for a thread that I thought held some relative points and made a good discussion.
Maybe time to stop finding things to pick out in order to win arguments that are unnecessarily developing and get back on topic.

Re: Suggestion - banned members...

Since we're re-enforcing the point, paypal is a cheek! They charge too much for anything of reasonable value in my opinion. Having said that I use them for pretty much every transaction because it's relatively secure and they've cornered the market.

Re: Suggestion - banned members...

So taking a photo with your name and date by it means a scammer is gonna send it out  ok, a simple question to all of you. A passer by in the street stops you and he/she says "i have a MR2 part for sale. Give me your money now and i'll meet you back here in an hour with the part" Now...

Re: Suggestion - banned members...

Ok here's a different idea then (I'm sure it's rubbish but its another way of tackling the issue) - everyone who is a new premium member has to scan and send a copy of a driving license, or passport etc... to the moderators before being able to sell items. That way if anyway is scammed the buyer/pe...

just because you only have a few genital warts doesn't mean you shouldn't get it seen to asap for future protection and to ensure regular users still visit  Probably best to keep your private life private bud  If I saw Karl advertising some parts, it wouldn't make a blind bit of differenc...

Re: Suggestion - banned members...

Perhaps your suggestion could be utilised for users who have been here less than 12 months but I really cannot see it making a blind bit of difference either way, just being honest, not having a go or rubbishing your suggestion for the sake of it. In the nicest possible way, this is a terrible idea...

Actually not a fan of the interior but I do really like that front bumper, very tasteful addition.
I'd also like to see the mr2, it is in the title after all :eye:

Re: Suggestion - banned members...

It's been highlighted there's a problem with people on the site being ripped off and it was only a suggestion on how to tackle this. As I'm not yet one of these people it not something I'm overly fussed about but at the same time I don't want to become one of those people and don't want others to be...

Re: Suggestion - banned members...

I'm not sure we've had any instances of that? I've no idea, I haven't personally had that problem but it is something that happens (regardless of whether it's happened here yet or not) and if members don't feel safe buying and selling here then it may add some more reassurance. I'm all for stopping...

Re: Suggestion - banned members...

Something I've seen on another forum is that for every sale thread, every picture must have the sellers username written on a piece of paper in it. This stops people grabbing a picture of the internet and selling something they don't own.

Re: Not your average super-rare SARD

Wow, I've never seen one before but that red "palatina" mr2 posted looks really good. I'm of the opinion that nothing beats the TRD (but I would be wouldn't I!) and like the toms because it has a similar look but keeps the lines of standard car. Not really the biggest fan of border kits th...

Your TRD is absolutely awesome, especially on the Futuras. I can't believe I have only just come across it. Can you share some more info on your wheel/suspension setup? Are those Futuras 17s or 18s & what tyre sizes? Are you still on the Eibach springs only? How do you find ground clearance wit...

google translate helps but then you need to be fluent in jibberish! :eye:

There meets make me very jealous and they seem to organise alot of track days too. I spent quite a while sifting through those pics and there are some really good ones in there and loads of rare jap parts on the cars

Re: Rear lights on japanese mr2

So are we thinking website issues then?

I'm quite concerned because I updated tr2000gt.com with a ton of pictures from this site and I fear I may have lost an evening!
