Re: a few niggles with the new car
With the fuel gauge thing, did you put petrol into an empty tank and see no immediate response on the gauge?
Same with ours, it just takes a while to register for some reason, I don't know if it's the same on other 2's?

When bleeding the clutch did you move the clutch cylinder in and out?
Sometimes people forget and it leaves the cylinder full of air..

Re: [Mk2] [NA] tapping ????
Just had this problem. The no.2 lead wasn't pushed on top of the plug properly so it was earthing to the head
Sounded exactly as you described...try taking the leads out and putting them back in firmly.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] coolant leak!!!!
Have you looked to see if water is coming out the exhaust (in large quantities), after warming the engine?
I've had the head gasket go on me twice now. The second time water was really p***ing out the exhaust =[

They're fully adjustable, I don't know what you mean by sealed?

Haven't rev1's or 2's got adjustable tie rods as standard. Find someone who's braking them???
Unless you want some uprated one's of course.

Re: For those running rollcages
They're made to protect you...
Having a roll cage in a crash is definitely preferable than not. It also stiffens the chassis, which to a point is a good thing.
Your right though, the only downside, as I see it is the added weight. And as everyone has been saying, the insurance is a bummer!

I'm probably wrong but wouldn't the air going past the car cause some sort of back pressure on the exhaust gases coming out???
You want the gases to be flowing freely as possible, does look good though!

Re: WHY do bigger alloys mean worse handling?
Don't forget the tyres will also flex in the tread. So half worn tyres will generally grip better.
Also don't most tyres need a while to scrub in properly..
