Thanks - thought it would be that, where is the best place to order one from?

When I give it put my foot down, the speedo has started to shoot up to say 50 if I am doing 30? Is this a sensor issue of some kind?

It just jumps up and down, all over the place when the accelrator is pressed.

Any ideas?

Silly. Surely if it passes the emissions tests, it passes... regardless to wether or not a CAT is on?!

I bought mine off ebay, and fitted them myself, they are a pretty easy thing to do ( and I am no mechanic by any means!)

Use Autosol ( metal polish) on the exhaust.

If in doubt, just take them out for the MOT and replace with the usual H4 bulbs?! Only takes 5 minutes, its what I do!

If the exhaust and gearbox are missing, how are you going to listen to the engine when you can't start it up! It could be well sha**ed. doing dry tests ie compression isnt enough. With the tuning bits fitted the chances of it being bad is higher. There is normally a reason why a car gets stripped. ...
