Re: SC - air-con by-pass?

What sort of noises? If you just switch the AC off does the noise go away? It's a clutched wheel, so you could narrow it down that way. I've just been looking for pictures and it appears that there are two different arrangements for alternator and AC compressor. Some have the AC compressor above the...

Hey Ollie,

Which extra hoses?

I could do with the ones that come off the sides of the metal water pipes on the intake side.

Re: Taking delivery of a Haslbeck Mr2

How much extra arch space do those front and rear wings get you?

The black one you posted up looks great.

A plan is forming already. Those front and rear wings smoothed out with some other of your parts paul - could look pretty damn good!

Mine was in an A4 brown envelope. Bristol sorting office, very thin, small 1st class stamp.

Re: Project card melter...AW11SC Rebuild...pic heavy

I'm always rubbish at keeping build threads up to date. However - the main reason is that I'm too busy on the car to take pictures and keep this up to date. HSD coilovers and rota kyusha daily driver wheels are now here. MOT was booked for Saturday, realised last night that theres no chance of that ...

Re: new car battery - which one/model/rating?

You'll just need to get an odyssey with the same specs as the normal battery and you'll be fine. You could perhaps go for a smaller one if you had trimmed the electrical circuits right back and you could put it on a conditioner overnight and didn't drive in winter. However I should think it's mostly...

Re: Japfest 2013 - ***BOOKINGS CLOSED***

Two weeks to go! I hear my car is out of the body shop but still has a load of work left to sort..! Plus it needs putting back on the road as it`s currently SORN/needing M.O.T. Fingers crossed as I`m looking forward to this! I'm in this position now - engine in bits and very little inside the car. ...

Re: Damn It!

I take it you mean the heater control unit? Just be really careful with all screws because the plastics are very brittle by now and where the threads are plastic they'll just crumble. Taking the instrument pod out is pretty quick really. I wouldn't put anything on the sump plug - new crush washer sh...

Lol - gotta keep them main dealers paid for somehow!

There's gotta be a good paint/bodyshop near you somewhere? I'd look for those doing classics for a better chance of a good job.

elbon - yes thanks, the antibiotics are taking effect now - well enough to go back to work :( Photos were taken at about 8pm last night so they are a bit grainy and dark - the paint really is very good. Solution to monster truck ride height is in the post! Pistol - that's what I said! I originally w...

Re: Confirmation of part nos

You can put part numbers in to:

http://www.toyodiy.com

and it'll tell you what the part is according to their database and what the vehicle applicability of that part is.

Re: Project card melter...AW11SC Rebuild...pic heavy

I owe this thread many words and photos. I'm suffering with 3 infected teeth and irritated nerves in the face so I'm in need of a bit of a boost. The car came back on Monday from the bodyshop and I think they've done a good job of it. I thought I'd test fit one of my new wheels. I put them on with t...

Yeah, would totally agree. If you compare his prices for stuff vs what the eBay breakers charge, I've found Trevor to be very reasonable. I'm using TCB for all the Toyota parts I need bar a few eBay bargains and I'm making Trevor hunt high and low - he hasn't let me down yet, even with rare stuff li...
