Hi, this is what I did. Took the bumper off (found it much easier to work with). Then sprayed all the rusty bolts with WD40. At this point, only 3 of the 11 bolts were loose, so I decided to get the grinder out. If you are taking the splitter off to replace with an aftermarket, there is probably not...

Just got back from the workshop after spraying and fitting the kit to the car!! Can honestly say this kit looks the bomb!!
