responded. just spent another £1000 on rebuilding pumps camblt,fluids etc.

car runs sweet. no mot but could get one as nothing wrong with it and done about 1000 miles since last mot

iv now ordered big end bearings aswel, i know there is 3 sizes, but iv gone for standard size and will get the additional if needed.

at 1000revs or above the light is off, but if it drops down below it starts to flicker.

when u say big end barings, is that something i can replace/fix while im doing the pump, as ill do all at once

Just a bit more info on my issue: I have replaced oil with 40/10, new oil filter, cleaned out the sump, replaced oil sensor.

so i know only thing left is the pump, which as the car is coming upto 100,000 and 22 years old is to be expected

so im going to replace my oil pump as a very low revs and engine warm im getting the light flicker which i know means oil pressure low! Has anyone ever changed the oil pump? I do not want to have to remove the engine I now have a brand new oil pump, water pump, and belt to go on. Im in Yeovil somers...
