your only thinking about peak bhp figures. what about all round drivability and torque gains throughout the rev range.

stock ecu is only mapped to stock boost and oem filter, exhaust etc.

mine does this too.

mods are pp intercooler, apexi intake, berk downpipe and hks silent hipower.

i bought a rev1/2 one for my rev4. fitted ok except one bolt had to be removed as the downpipe has one less hole holding it to the turbo.

so if you have an uprated spring/actuactor and decide on a later date you want a boost controller, can you keep the uprated item, or will you need to revert back to stock spring/actuator? also with intercooler, exhaust, downpipe, bov and intake, seems my boost guage reads 0.95-0.98bar on full boost ...

looked much nicer in red when you first bought it i think. as long as your happy then it's all good though.

The one on my car is the original rev 1 rad cap from before my turbo swap, I have had a rev 2 turbo engine in there for the last 2.5 years and its been fine. Dont see why yours will be different. had cambelt and few other bits done yesterday. guys are really friendly and know what their doing. got the winter forum deal too which was a bonus. paid £224 in the end for cambelt, air con belt, alternator belt and bearings. was there the whole day and big thanks to the mechanic for completing the ...
