Andy's Mk3 - 2GR V6

I found myself in Orlando in December 2010. With no group buys going on I took the opportunity to go to a breakers and I found a 36,000 mile 2GR-FE engine from a 2008 Avalon Bought on 9th Dec 2010 http://i875.photobucket.com/albums/ab312/ayresyboy/IMAG0169.jpg Nothing goes to plan and I was expectin...

It was entirely up to the customer what they wanted. #0001 is the only genuine TRD NA that I know of.

Re: Andy's Mk2 - TRD1 Back to the original

it was me that bought your supra brakes! :D Yes I remember. Went on your beams!?!? A shame you wouldn't consider a turbo swap and utilise the TRD exhaust properly. Blasphemy! lol. It's apparently a Tom's race engine. Very unique 2.2 litre 3SGE with stroker kit. Much faster than a standard NA.

Re: Andy's Mk2 - TRD1 Back to the original

Looks smart mate. Nice job. Think I prefer the volk wheels that were on before though. I liked the Volks but they didn't fit with the theme of going back to the original. Plus one of the rear wheels was a different offset to the other one. Plus, I'm personally not a fan of spacers. Nor me, which is...

Re: Andy's Mk2 - TRD1 Back to the original

You bought the mongoose exhaust off me recently Hi Dan, I've actually installed that exhaust onto the TRD as the TRD exhaust is meant for a turbo so is far too loud with my n/a. I intend to get the TRD exhaust re-baffled. I now officially hate you after seeing this and your v6..... I get that a lot...

Re: Andy's Mk2 - TRD1 Back to the original

I decided to send it to Patrick (headcase) for some TLC. I tore a bit of the rear bumper off whilst reversing into my garage. The front bumper had also been cracked due to the car being so low. There were a few other bits n pieces with the bodywork that I was unhappy about. This prompted me to get a...

Pretty quickly I found some Alumi K's. Re: Andy's Mk2 - TRD1 Back to the original

With regards to there being a curiosity about two number 1's. Well this is exactly the case - There are two number 1's. I'm guessing the first number one was a prototype, the second number one being the first car converted for a customer. That makes sense to me. Each TRD2000GT was given a vin plate ...

Andy's Mk2 - TRD1 Back to the original

I bought TRD1 from Mick (Topgun) back in October 2009. Mick had put a lot of effort into getting it into a great condition and many may have thought it was finished. Not me...I saw scope for making it even more original. Since this 1993 car was brought back to a Toyota Technocraft factory in Tokyo i...
