Milakor Clamp Upgrade - Size info?

I am sick of losing boost through worn crappy jubilee clamps. So, I've been scouring the forum to try and get a definitive answer for some milakor clap sizes. From what I can see it looks like 3 seperate sizes: 73-79mm (x2 for Throttle Body) 68-73mm (x4 for Intercooler) 58-63mm (x2 for Turbo) Can an...

Re: Mr2 Turbo running costs

I wouldn't limit yourself to a Rev3 I'd take a clean rev2 over a rusty rev3 any day (in fact that's what I ended up doing). There's nothing worse than getting under a car to work on it and its just rusty siezed bolts everywhere. As far as running costs yeah, if you're only doing minimal miles you'll...

Re: URGENT ANSWERS NEEDED

Rear caliper siezed on maybe? Check if the car will move back and forth by pushing it with the bandbrake off. If it's solid, chances are its siezed. Jack the car up, wheel off, remove caliper, wind piston back and forth until it's moving freely again. You'll really need to consider a rebuild-kit tho...

Yeah, this is what I though, but I have blocked it myself up at the top by the acuator.

Maybe whoever had it before blocked it down here?

Blocked Hose, But Why? (Pic Inside)

Any ideas what this hose is, and why it has been blocked? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v55/big_malcy/MR2/SNC00259.jpg If you lie under the car and look up it is just after the back box. I also noticed a hose beside it (to the left in this picture) which is connected to nothing (I assume used to...

Re: Olbermotive in Hamilton

Some fair points there. I just felt that the combination of all these issues warranted my experience to be voiced. At the end of the day it has resulted in a loss of time and money, and could have caused more serious damage to the car had I not spotted the engine temp rising and managed to pull over...

Re: Olbermotive in Hamilton

I thought I would share my experience with Olbermotive in Hamilton, near Glasgow. Apologies for the length of this post. After stories on the hassles of fitting a decat to the MR2, I decided to have a garage do the work (which I rarely do). I also had a small bit of welding needed on a pipe leading ...

Re: Why import

Yeah, take a 1992 UK car, and a 1992 imported in 2009.
Get them up on the ramps side by side and you'll see pretty quickly.

Asides that, yeah, stricter MOTs mean better condition really. And better spec too.

[Mk2] [Turbo] Do I already have an FCD fitted?

I have hit 0.9 Bar in my '92 rev2 GTS after fitting an EBC, and found no fuel cut being triggered. The pressure was confirmed on both my Apexi Boost gage (0.9 bar) and my Blitz EBC (0.93 bar). So am I right in assuming I have some sore of FCD already fitted? Where's best to loko for this, and how wo...
