When I had a high idle issue (for 1.5 years!) it turned out to be the garage which put the wrong thermostat back in my car, one which runs a different temp to standard.
Could be worth checking that out.

I have to say that I am royally disappointed with my yellow stuff pads. Bought them new with CRN grooved disks and they feel dangerous despite 2 brand new front calipers and the backs working ok. I guess you're probably right about the issue if they don't fit BUT it does say they are the correct sizes from what I can work out.
