I wish there was an off the shelf ITB kit available.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] New battery - which one?

Should be cheaper than that direct from Toyota, if your dealer does a club membership discount. I'm currently in Swansea, there is a dealership in town, so I can nip down and have a look when a colleague is back. I also found a motor factors but their one is £70. I don't mind paying up to that pric...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] New battery - which one?

Can anyone confirm if this battery will be suitable ? Or if it's a bit cack, an alternative ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-MR2-2-0-GT-T-Bar-SW20-1990-2000-Bosch-4-Year-Guarantee-Battery-/280903338399?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Cars+Year%3A1993%7CCar+Make%3AToyota%7CModel%3AMR+...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] New battery - which one?

Hmm, I just fired up the car and it was ok. Reluctant to start and a bit of a low idle. So I'm not sure quite what is causing that as it's fine normally, perhaps the sea air it's not used to.

[Mk2] [NA] New battery - which one?

Hey guys I'm away from home and it seems like my battery has gone flat. The alternator was replaced recently, so I don't suspect that's the issue. The battery in the car is physically the wrong size, so I had thought about replacing it anyway. I'll nip down to halfords but I can order via ebay etc i...

ROUGHLY, how much, or how long would you say it would take somewhere to fit the cams, and potentially the vernier pulleys ?
I'd rather look before I leap :eye:

Would you consider selling the softer springs ?

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Camshafts - For the stupid (me)

That's good to know as I'd prefer to do little bits over time IF I don't go the turbo route.
I know some things it'll just make sense to do in one go but not always possible

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Twangy clunk sound - from front ARB possibly

We gave it a little pre-load on the spring collars, it seems to have solved the sound. The springs weren't in good condition surprisingly (I had washed them every so often during the winter), so perhaps some softer ones is the right way to go now. Edit: Still heard the sound a bit but not as much as...

Not yet.
It definitely sounds like a spring, or the ARB though.

But it also sounds like fun.

I'm very close to either going this route or slinging a turbo engine and gubbins in there.

Going to see James and co on Saturday morning, hopefully the problem can at least be identified if not sorted :thumleft:

Of course I'll report back.

Re: How good should the brakes be????

I bought new discs and yellow stuff pads (again), excellent combination for me in the n/a at least. (have braided lines and motul RBF600 fluid) The biggest difference was the new discs, there was a noticeable lip on the old discs, so the pads were having to travel further. Good stopping without need...

Much appreciated for that.
So you do basically need a kit, plus some kind of ECU that can take advantage of it all.
Sounds like ££££

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Twangy clunk sound - from front ARB possibly

I bet you haven't inserted the damper into the cup properly. I've done this myself. Can the top nut be turned even though it all feels tight.? Is there a chance the crappy road conditions could have knocked it out ? As WIM did the full geo back in December and it's been great. Around (roughly) the ...
