Re: Sump differences?
all the ozzie delivered 4age aw11's have the w2o cooler, delivered from japan so you could nearly call it JDM....
all the imported 4agze aw11's here dont have a oil cooler, though the lil feral's 89 auto 4agze has a w2o cooler for the engine oil and another one for the transmission.

Re: Are bushing kits from the States really that bad?
Hi i have just ordered two total kits from the states. they cost £106 inc p&p, not bad for 2 sets, Also the US 2s are us are expensive for these bush kits. Ive seen them for as low as $73 about £36 but becarefull with the p&p. then the import duty but even after this theres still a large sa...

Re: big port cam's in a small port head ?? thoughts?
make sure you measure the cams, some bigport 4age's (later 7 rib jobbies) have the same cam spec as the 4agze and smallport engines. the early 3 rib 4age has the true higher lift/longer duration cams. these installed will gain you a little extra midrang and top end. how much? put it on a dyno before...

oh well, at least wiring the engine will be plug and play, i doubt it should be too hard matching it to the aw11 wiring harness. but then i like wires.

Re: Low idle speed = low oil pressure
all 3 of my 2's have different oil pressure readings, but as mentioned above dont worry unless it doesnt come up at all when the engines started or rise with revs. after all the oil pump is run via the crank.

Re: A mk1, a twisty piece of road, where did the last 2 hours go?
i dont understand some of the figure you've posted? whats corrected power? on the dyno (rolling road) you say you got 99.2kw at the wheel. at the wheel is all we here in oz go by. the only time i've ever had the feral on a dyno i was running my laundry rebuilt 9.4:1 4age and 7psi of boost from the t...

now now... everyone has their own tastes on what they want their car to look like.
i think i would prefer to see a kitted aw11 looking ok with a nice paint job etc. than an original looking like a total rust bucket with holes and bubbled paint everywhere, thats what makes me cry!!

i was going to turn my s/c halfcut into a trailer, but i decided there was still too much weight in it for a aw11 to tow comfortably.

Re: A mk1, a twisty piece of road, where did the last 2 hours go?
i've got a great ocean drive on my door step here at home, not real long but long enough to make a very pleaseing aw11 run/drive/sprint/cruise whatever i feel like doing on it. it has some nasty corners you gotta be careful on, ups and downs to and straights to really stretch it's legs on. plus an a...

i saw a few flaws in stuarts when i was working in it, but then i'm a bit fussy when it comes to fibreglass! though the style of kit isnt exactly my taste (as the feral's may not be to many others) there are certain angles of the kameleon kit i liked. i've got some good pics uploaded on image shack,...

Re: Twincharger Kit
feral4mr2@hotmail.com with the amount of aw11's floating around the states, getting some axles and engine mounts wouldnt be that hard. a post on the Mr2oc should find them. if the engine mounts are just a bit flogged out, fix them with some sikaflex 255. i would think the carolla mounts might be dif...
