it was a bit of a nightmare getting the gasket sealant around the housing.... how important is this??? im hoping it wont leak....... the thermastat should have a o-ring that surrounds it, it needs that to seal correctly. i put the old thermostat in a tub of kettle boiled water, nothing happened.......
